Abstract: An advanced method and facility for growing abundant crops for food together with a sustainable growth of biomass for energy within a farm setting measuring (by way of example) 600 acres and yielding some 180 bushels of corn per acre, amounting to a total farm yield of 108,000 bushels. By increasing the yield of 180 to 270 bushels per acre with drainage, irrigation, and a pond that accepts water in wet weather and dispenses water for irrigation in dry weather, and supplementing with fertilizer, the 108,000 bushels can be produced with only 400 acres, this freeing 200 acres for growing biomass to be harvested and delivered to a centralized processor (preferably in pellet form) and efficiently converts the biomass into a biofuel rich in H2 for transportation such as gasoline and a low-Btu biofuel to generate biopower while co-producing fertilizer to enhance growth of both crops and biomass.

Abstract: A lice treatment system for marine organisms, such as fish, is described where the system is a closed system comprising: an inlet (1) for fish that shall be treated, a first separator (2) to separate the fish and water and which is arranged after the inlet (1), a pipeline (6) for the transport of the fish, in which, at least, one part of the pipeline (6) constitutes a liquid bath (5) for the fish and which is arranged to receive the treatment liquid, a second separator (7) to separate the fish and the treatment liquid, an outlet (8) for the discharge of the treated fish and which is arranged after the second separator (7), and a circulation pump (10) for the circulation of the treatment liquid in the closed system. The part of the pipeline that constitutes the liquid bath (5) is formed in a U-shape so that a liquid bath with respective liquid surfaces (4) is formed.

Abstract: A salt lick block support incorporating a liquid container therein has a main body member having a hole in a top surface thereof. A hollow central portion adapted to hold a granular material therein, and a base portion extending outwardly from a lower section thereof and including a plurality of holes therethrough adapted to allow fasteners therein to securely hold the salt lick block support to a chosen surface. A plurality of fasteners adapted to extend through respective of the plurality of holes and engage the chosen surface. A removable container adapted to hold a liquid therein, has an opening in a top portion thereof, and is adapted to fit and be held in place within the hole in the top surface of the main body member, wherein the removable container further includes a small aperture in a bottom surface thereof that is adapted to allow the liquid to pass therethrough in a drop-by-drop fashion.

Abstract: A hot stone therapy and acupressure roller including a specially designed rod where hollow, cylindrical stones, along with acupressure pins, are spaced along the rod. As the rod is applied to the body, the attached stones roll and acupressure may be applied. Targeted acupressure can be applied on either side of the rod, and the acupressure pins serve to hold the cylindrical stones and spacers in place. The stones can be inserted onto the rod or used individually. The stones can be used to conduct a cold and/or hot stone massage. Additionally, each end of the rod is shaped for use as a massage tool. When using either end of the rod as a massage tool, the acupressure pins serve to improve grip and increase leverage.

Abstract: There is disclosed a separable toilet pad for housebreaking animal companions including a protection layer covering an exterior surface; an absorbent layer absorbing and storing urine; and a waterproof layer preventing the absorbed urine from leaking, wherein the waterproof layer includes a waterproof layer cut unit configured to divide or cut the waterproof layer into a plurality of areas, when an external force is applied, and the absorbent layer is arranged in a surface of the waterproof layer and includes a gap with both sides with respect to the waterproof layer cut unit and includes a gap having a distance from both sides of the waterproof cut unit, and a filling part is arranged in the gap and includes a filling part cut unit corresponding to the waterproof layer.

Abstract: A horticulture tray including a growing cell. The growing cell includes a first end, a second end, a sidewall, and a plant supporting portion. The first end defines a first aperture having a first diameter. The second end is opposite the first end and has a second diameter that is smaller than the first diameter. The sidewall extends between the first end and the second end, and the sidewall continuously tapers from the first end to the second end. The plant supporting portion is proximate to the second end, but spaced apart from the second end. The plant supporting portion is configured to support a plant within the growing cell apart from the second end. The growing cell promotes proper root structure by supporting stabilized growth plugs therein without horizontal surfaces and by creating a perimeter gap such that air can circulate around the growth plugs to air prune roots.

Abstract: A multifunctional planting system includes a supporter and a spraying device. The supporter includes a base and a plurality of lateral walls. The lateral walls are bent from the base to form a sunken structure for storing nutrient solution. The spraying device is disposed on the supporter. The spraying device includes an accommodating structure, a buckling component and a piezoelectric component. The nutrient solution is accommodated inside the accommodating structure. The buckling component passes through the accommodating structure. The piezoelectric component is disposed on a hollow portion of the buckling component. A plurality of tiny apertures are formed on the piezoelectric component. The piezoelectric component receives an electronic signal to generate oscillation. The oscillation transforms the liquid nutrient solution inside the accommodating structure into the gaseous nutrient solution.

Abstract: Described is an animal door that is movable between a closed position and an open position and that has an adjustable resistance against the door being removed from the closed position to the open position. More specifically, the animal door defines a passageway and includes a flap that is moveable between the closed position and the open position, whereby the flap obstructs the passageway when at the closed position. The animal door generates a magnetic force that generates a resistance against the flap being moved from the closed position to the open position, whereby magnitude of the magnetic force, and thus the resistance, is adjustable.

Abstract: A mechanism for covering and uncovering a cold frame includes a starting base and a spaced-apart terminal base, a frame, and a cover deployable over the frame starting at the starting base and ending at the terminal base. The cover is wrapped from its midline around a cover shaft rotated by a first drive motor, as cables, attached to the leading edge of the cover, pull it over the frame. Those cables are simultaneously winding themselves around a cable shaft rotated by a second drive motor so that cover remains tight between the cable shaft and the cover shaft. The other end of the cables is secured to the starting base while the trailing edge of the cover is secured to the terminal base. Torque arms extend from the first and second drive motors and their distal ends are pivotally connected.

Abstract: An electrical heat lamp for pig breeding includes a housing and an electrical heating source. The heating source is a U-shaped, infrared electromagnetic radiation heating element, and includes an electric member portion for connecting to an external electric energy source. The heat lamp includes a reflector arranged in the housing, the reflector being adapted to reflect the electromagnetic radiation emitted from the heating source, is adapted to fit the shape of the heating source, and has a U-shaped groove which in turn has a parabolic cross section. The heat lamp includes a sealing member sealing the space or electrical connection between the heating source and the electric member portion against water; optionally, one or two more sealing members are provided.

Abstract: A planter includes a concave container and a separate rim, both formed from a thermoplastic material. The container has a brim extending radially outward from an upper portion of the container. A vertical wall extends upward from the brim. The rim has a top wall with outer and inner side walls extending downward from its edges. The upper surface of the brim of the container comprises a stop inward of the vertical wall such that when the rim is advanced onto the upper end of the container, a lower portion of the inner rim wall confronts the stop to inhibit further advancement.

Abstract: A system for transporting a cattle chute with a tractor features a tractor having a hydraulically activated three-point hitch featuring a first three-point hitch leg, a second three-point hitch leg, and a center three-point hitch leg. The system features a cattle chute having a first side pickup, a second side pickup, and a center pickup. The system features a “U” shaped chute hitch having a first chute hitch leg, a second chute hitch leg, and a horizontal chute hitch connector. The chute hitch is located on the three-point hitch and features a first hook, a second hook, and a center hook. The first hook engages the first side pickup. The second hook engages the second side pickup. The center hook engages the center pickup. The hydraulically activated three-point hitch lifts the cattle chute for transport via the chute hitch.

Abstract: A hydroponic pond is provided that has a depth in the approximate range from 24 inches to 36 inches. This depth of pond water provides a volume of water that increases thermal stability of the hydroponic pond. A nutritional formulation is developed in view of an analysis of a source water make-up for combination with the source water to achieve a desired chemical and nutritional mix. The nutritional formulation and the source water are then combined and placed within a hydroponic pond. A computational system is provided that monitors the state of a hydroponic environment and directs input modules as programmed and in order to sponsor plant growth, plant quality, and volume of plant yield.

Abstract: A universal bird feeder hanger system is a low cost cable and pulley apparatus that allows a user to easily raise and lower a birdfeeder for maintenance. A metal plastic coated cable has a loop at each end that is routed through a pulley. The proximate end attaches to a ground screw anchor via a first carabiner and the distal end attaches to a birdfeeder via a second carabiner hook. In between, the pulley is attached to a support structure such as a gutter. The birdfeeder is raised and lowered by disconnecting the proximate end from the ground screw anchor and moving toward or away from the birdfeeder.

Abstract: A boat holding tank for anesthetizing fish is described having a pulsator, with the pulsator having an anode output and a cathode output; a holding tank capable of receiving an aquatic animal, the holding tank further comprising an anode probe and a cathode probe, with the anode cathode probe of the holding tank switchably connected to the anode and cathode output of the pulsator, such that when the pulsator is activated the aquatic animal in the holding tank is anesthetized.

Abstract: A fish feeding device featuring an elongated shaft component with a first end portion formed into the shape of a helix for holding foodstuffs below the level of water in a fish tank and with a stopper component held by the shaft, keeping the shaft away from the inner walling of any panel portion of the tank and with the shaft component being bent about a vertically inclined central axis of symmetry of the shaft component for purposes of holding the invention about upper edging of the given panel portion and featured by further bends of the shaft component serving to hold the device fast in place about the exterior walling of and accordingly the panel portion of the fish tank.

Abstract: A double-walled nested plant pot assembly having a base pot and an insert pot, the latter removably inserted into the base pot. The base pot has a bottom and tapering sides, an open top, a drain hole in the bottom, and legs on the bottom for elevating the base pot above a surface. Clearance holes are provided for plumbing to be disposed under the base pot bottom. A pipe fitting is disposed in the drain hole for connection with a drain line. Stand offs are formed in the base pot for supporting the insert pot. The shape of the insert pot conforms to the base pot with slightly smaller dimensions and includes a basin portion with a plurality of drain slots. When placed on the stand offs, the spaces between the basin portion, the insert bottom, and the interior sides and bottom of the base pot provide a volume through which water may drain from the insert pot into the base pot and through the base pot drain.

Abstract: An insect repellent device having a top section and a bottom section can be attached via a fastening mechanism near the facial area of a user. The top section and the bottom section are rotatably joined to form a single unit and an insect repellent compound is contained internally. A plurality of slits in each of the top section and the bottom section enable air to pass through the device and intermix with the insect repellent compound.

Abstract: An animal indicator apparatus that tracks the locations of an animal and alerts nearby persons when the animal approaches a boundary includes a location determining component operable to determine a current geographic location of the apparatus; memory for storing cartographic data representative of at least one boundary; an indicator and a processor. The processor triggers the indicator when the current geographic location of the apparatus is near the location of the boundary.
