  • Patent number: 10489772
Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for out-of-band device verification of transactions. A processor can execute a verification service. The verification service can receive a verification request with data relating to a transaction between a computing device and an application. The verification service can identify an out-of-band device associated with the computing device and obtain verification data from the out-of-band device. The verification service can compare the verification data to data relating to the transaction to determine if the transaction is to be verified. Based upon the determination, the verification service can approve or block the transaction.

  • Patent number: 10395246
Abstract: A method of verifying identity information is performed at a computer server using a social networking application. The computer server receives an identity verification request from a first terminal. The first terminal is associated with a first account of the social networking application and the identity verification request includes information of a verification code and a second account of the social networking application. The computer server then forwards information of the verification code to a second terminal associated with the second account of the social networking application. Upon receipt of a response from the second terminal, the computer server establishes a relationship between the first account and the second account after verification of the response from the second terminal using the verification code such that the second terminal can interact with the first terminal through the social networking application.

  • Patent number: 10147089
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed in which data associated with a transaction are protected with encryption. At an access device, a PIN associated with a payment account may be encrypted with a first key derived from an initial key of the access device and sensitive data associated with the payment account may be encrypted with a second key derived from the initial key. At a secure module associated with a host server encrypted sensitive data of an authorization request message may be decrypted. The secure module associated with the host server can re-encrypt the sensitive data using a zone encryption key associated with a payment processing network. A translated authorization request message including the re-encrypted sensitive data can be transmitted by the merchant server to the payment processing network.

  • Patent number: 10108953
Abstract: The systems, methods and apparatuses described herein provide a computing environment for completing a secure transaction. An apparatus according to the present disclosure may comprise a screen, a first switching device coupled to the screen, an input device, a second switching device coupled to the input device, a non-secure processor, a secure processor and a credit card reader operatively coupled to the secure processor. The non-secure processor may generate a message containing a purchase transaction request. The secure processor may receive the message, assume control of the screen and input device while the apparatus is operating in a secure mode, establish a secure connection with a server, receive payment information to be submitted to the server, digitally sign certain transaction information and submit the digitally signed certain transaction information to the server to complete the secure transaction.

  • Patent number: 10070310
Abstract: A method and system for provisioning access data in a second application on a mobile device using a first application on the mobile device. Authentication data may be input into the first application, and an authentication code may be requested from a remote server. After the authentication code is received by the first application in the mobile device, it can pass the authentication code to a second application that initiates an access data provisioning process.

  • Patent number: 10013692
Abstract: In various embodiments, transactions initiated by or on behalf of users between client systems and transaction systems are sent to authorization systems for approval. An authorization system contacts one or more registered devices for approval from a user of the registered devices for the transactions initiated by or on behalf of the users that are being handled by the transaction systems. A registered device sends an approval or denial based on user input. The authorization server then sends the approval or denial to a transaction system to complete a transaction.

  • Patent number: 9996835
Abstract: Systems and methods for interoperable network token processing are provided. A network token system provides a platform that can be leveraged by external entities (e.g., third party wallets, e-commerce merchants, payment enablers/payment service providers, etc.) or internal payment processing network systems that have the need to use the tokens to facilitate payment transactions. A token registry vault can provide interfaces for various token requestors (e.g., mobile device, issuers, merchants, mobile wallet providers, etc.), merchants, acquirers, issuers, and payment processing network systems to request generation, use and management of tokens. The network token system further provides services such as card registration, token generation, token issuance, token authentication and activation, token exchange, and token life-cycle management.

  • Patent number: 9916581
Abstract: A method of reconstructing a packet that includes financial card information from a mobile device uses a card reader. The card reader has a read head, a slot for swiping a magnetic stripe of a card and device electronics that includes a microcontroller with logic resources with code. The card reader has a unique identifier and associated cryptographic key. The same code is used to produce an encrypted and signed signal. The encrypted and signed signal, that includes the card reader identifier, is sent to the mobile device. The mobile device sends an encrypted and signed packet to a back end of a payment system. A cryptographic key is used to decrypt and verify the contents of the packet at the back end. Non-encrypted financial card information is sent to a payment gateway.

  • Patent number: 9911118
Abstract: Embodiments are directed at systems, apparatuses, and methods for indirect device pairing through a trusted intermediary. One embodiment is directed to a method including receiving a pairing identifier associated with an untrusted device controller. The method further comprises extracting the pairing identifier from the pairing request, searching a pairing identifier database for a matching pairing identifier, determining an untrusted device controller associated with the matching pairing identifier, and sending the pairing request to the untrusted device controller. The untrusted device controller may identify the untrusted device, associate the pairing identifier with the trusted intermediary, and lock the pairing identifier. The method further comprises receiving a pairing response indicating that the untrusted device is paired with the computer.

  • Patent number: 9805410
Abstract: A client (e.g., an eReader) receives and displays a sample version of content to a user retrieved from a store server. The sample version is a subset of the full version of the content. The client determines a location in the sample content in which to insert a buy page that allows the user to purchase the full version. The buy page may be inserted at a location that minimizes the time the user spends waiting for the full version to be installed on the client. The client uses one or more locating factors to determine the location. The user may interact with the buy page inserted at the determined location to purchase the full version of the content. The client interacts with the store server to conduct the purchase transaction, and seamlessly transitions the user from the sample to the full version of the content.

  • Patent number: 9727862
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are disclosed for using a payment processing network as an authorization engine to access secure physical areas, such as college dormitories, office buildings. A keycard with a cryptogram generator is presented by a user to an access device, and the access device or associated computer sends an access request message formatted like a payment authentication request message to an aggregator/acquirer and payment processing network. The payment processing network validates the cryptogram and returns an access response message, again formatted like a payment authorization response message, indicating that the keycard is authentic. The gate, door, turnstile, or other barrier is then temporarily unlocked to let the user through.
