Abstract: An automatically operating switch for activating the display of an LED digital wrist watch. The orientation of the wearer's wrist determines each of the various functions of the watch that are visually displayed. A curved tube of a non-wetting type is provided for housing a mercury bead. The position of the tube can be manually adjusted within the watch case in order to alter the response characteristics of the switch.
