  • Patent number: 4867212
Abstract: A safety arrangement for filling and emptying an anesthetic vaporizer via a supply vessel connected thereto includes a movable tube-shaped conducting member having first and second ends. A vessel-connecting piece is provided on its first end and an index member is provided on its second end for engaging a vaporizer. The tubular-shaped conducting member has a ventilating channel separate from the filling channel and the safety arrangement is improved with respect to its use characteristics. This improvement is obtained in that a joint piece is connected to the second end of the tubular conducting member intended for the vaporizer. An index member is rotatably journalled in the joint piece and contains respective line segments of the filling channel and the ventilating channel.

  • Patent number: 4867210
Abstract: A sealant applicator comprising an enclosure body which is openable to receive structure defining a junction locus into its interior space. Means are provided for introducing a flowable sealant into the interior space of the enclosure, e.g., a fill tube open at one end and joined at its opposite end in closed-flow communication with the enclosure body, to deposit sealant material at the junction locus. A sealant application apparatus is also disclosed, comprising a sealant applicator of the aforementioned type, secured to the nozzle of a pressurized container containing the sealant material. The sealant applicator of the invention is particularly useful for applying electromagnetic interference- and RF leakage-blockingly effective sealant materials to cable junctions, e.g., a junction formed by a coaxial cable and a cable television junction box.

  • Patent number: 4865089
Abstract: An apparatus and method are disclosed for dispensing a predetermined volume of a food chunk/liquid mixture having a predetermined ratio of food chunks to liquid without damaging the food chunks. The apparatus comprises at least one hopper, and a chute for receiving and selectively directing food chunks of the food chunk/liquid mixture into a cushion of liquid in the hopper. The metering apparatus preferably has sensing means for controlling the level of food chunks in the hopper, and a sensing means for selectively controlling the level of liquid in the hopper. When a constant predetermined volume of a food chunk/liquid mixture having a constant predetermined ratio of food chunks to liquid is consistently obtained in the hopper, a flap valve at the bottom of the hopper is repetitively opened for successively dispensing the food chunk/liquid mixture from the hopper into any suitable container.

  • Patent number: 4863081
Abstract: The invention comprises a removeable and adjustable rack for mounting on a fixed garment hook inside the body compartment of a motor vehicle to increase garment hanging capacity. It includes a base plate which has an opening for hanging on a fixed garment hook and has opposing lateral side edges. The base plate has wing plates pivotably connected to the opposing lateral side edges. The wing plates can be pivotably adjusted to abut against the inside surface of the body compartment to stabilize the mounting of the base plate on the fixed garment hook. A hanger arm projects from the base plate to support plural garment hangers.

  • Patent number: 4796678
Abstract: An apparatus for topping off a fuel tank which is necessary for full tank delivery after false fuel level detection caused by fuel bubbles or splashes. This is made possible by making a spring biased valve sent for a main valve longitudinally movable and providing control means and a mechanism so that despite a trigger being in the actuated position the valve is opened when bubbles or splashes disappear.
