  • Patent number: 9123449
Abstract: Infusion system configurations and assemblies facilitate routing of infusion circuit tubing lines. Tubing lines are routed into and out from compartments of a shielding assembly for the infusion system, at locations which prevent kinking and/or crushing of the lines, and/or provide for ease in assembling the circuit. A plurality of the lines may be held together by a support frame to form a disposable infusion circuit subassembly, that can further facilitate routing of the lines.

  • Patent number: 8920301
Abstract: Equipment for the comprehensive care of critical neonates that ventilates, incubates, monitors and facilitates medical procedures. This equipment includes a thermal ring keeping the neonatal bubble tempered, and that slides longitudinally through its axis to leave exposed the neonate during its care. The inside of the thermal ring includes circular heaters surrounding said ring. Inside the cabin there is a closed recipient with water that takes advantage of the heat of said bubble to humidify air passing through the inlet door and outlet pipeline, which carry humidified and hot air to neonate. Furthermore, the equipment includes a water container, open at its upper part and placed out of the bubble, that allows simultaneously limiting the gas pressure of inspiration and expiration and the gas pressure of the neonate through two pipes.

  • Patent number: 8887736
Abstract: A volume of a patient can be mapped with a system operable to identify a plurality of locations and save a plurality of locations of a mapping instrument. The mapping instrument can include one or more electrodes that can sense a voltage that can be correlated to a three dimensional location of the electrode at the time of the sensing or measurement. Therefore, a map of a volume can be determined based upon the sensing of the plurality of points without the use of other imaging devices. An implantable medical device can then be navigated relative to the mapping data.

  • Patent number: 8821372
Abstract: A mesh delivery system for sacral colpopexy procedures is disclosed. The system uses a mesh stabilizer (30) that is introduced in a compressed configuration through a surgical port into the abdomen, and a vaginal probe (10) (inserted through the vagina) with a magnetic or non-magnetic head that engages with the mesh stabilizer (30), anchoring it in position. The mesh stabilizer (30) employs a pseudoelastic shape memory alloy, and folds compact to deliver multiple mesh straps or a single Y-shaped surgical mesh in a streamlined configuration into the abdomen for facilitating the sacral colpopexy procedure. After delivery, the stabilizer (30) expands to a functional configuration where it interfaces with the probe (10) head and stabilizes and adjustably feeds the mesh strap(s) for suturing while maintaining stabilization of the mesh on the vaginal apex and while keeping excess mesh from obscuring the surgeons view. After suturing, the stabilizer can be removed back through the surgical port.

  • Patent number: 8739800
Abstract: This invention pertains to a non-contact Qi emission and amplification electronic device. Qi is a Chinese word for the life energy that circulates in human beings. The device is a passive electronic device, that is, it is not powered by any battery or electrical supply. It does not come into contact with the user. The user places the device a few feet away. As such the device is totally safe in terms of dangerous electrical shocks or electromagnetic emissions. The device has a switch to turn it on or off. The switch connects together electronic components, including a piezo-crystal, inside the device. Ambient fluctuations in the voltage of the piezo-crystal may produce an influence field that is broadcasted to an approximately six foot radius surrounding the device. The influence field feels like a cool breeze and affects the user in similar ways to the emitted Qi from Qi Gong practitioners.

  • Patent number: 8739799
Abstract: This invention pertains to a non-contact electronic device for the enhancement of dreaming. By enhancement it is meant increasing the frequency, the length, the lucidity, and the color of dreaming. For example, one person who dreams in grey shades now dreams in color when using the device. The device will also allow better recall of the dreams. Dream enhancement is generally a pleasant process and promotes a pleasant feeling in the morning after use. The device is a passive electronic device, that is, it is not actively powered. The user places the device a few feet away during sleep. The device uses a piezo-crystal and an iron core. It is believed that ambient fluctuations in the piezo-crystal's voltage produce an influence field that is broadcasted through the iron core to the user a few feet away.

  • Patent number: 8690751
Abstract: A sleep system is provided that aids in achieving a sleep goal by controlling the environment near a person. The sleep system executes instructions on a processor that interfaces with the person and various environmental controls. As the instructions are executed, the sleep system receives a sleep goal for the person that includes varying the nearby environment. The processor may further execute instructions to create settings that vary at least one environmental condition of the environment over time as it relates to one or more cycles of a sleep architecture for the person. Varying at least one environmental condition near the person experiencing one or more cycles of the sleep architecture influences the quality of the person's sleep. The sleep system may further adjust at least one environmental condition in the vicinity of the person tailored to the sleep architecture for the person.
