  • Patent number: 11019121
Abstract: Aspects include systems and methods to contemporaneously share and distribute media or content. Media sharing may have a plurality of configurations, comprising a plurality of computing devices, a media-sharing server, and a media server connected over a network. In an embodiment, a DJ may broadcast media or content received from a media server over a media-sharing server for a Listener to listen contemporaneously. A DJ may be made available to a Listener in a variety of ways, including permissions to connect to a specific user, proximity, or popularity. In an additional embodiment, contemporaneous may not necessarily mean simultaneous, but may instead be defined by listening to media or content in the same order and within a certain time period of the DJ. In a further example, the media-sharing server may act as a broker for a Listener to purchase or replay media or content from a third-party media seller.

  • Patent number: 10999370
Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for syncing shared resource across multiple systems using an intermediary system. The system includes logic to store membership data that includes a plurality of members in a membership. The system includes logic to create a reference content hash for the shared resource of the membership. The system can download the content hash of a copy of shared resource, upon receiving a notification of a transaction with the copy of the shared resource. The system can compare the content hash of the copy with the content hash of the master copy to detect any changes to the copy of shared resource. The system can designate the copy of shared resource with updated content as master copy and fanout the master copy to storage accounts associated with members in the membership. The system can perform the fanout for sets of members in the membership.

  • Patent number: 10992777
Abstract: A computer implemented method for determining the identity of an Over-the Top (OTT) application or service being accessed over the Internet from a HTTP, HTTPS or QUIC connection request received in a network monitoring device. Determine if one or more entries are present in the received connection request have an IP address that matches a known server IP address. A determination is then made as to whether if the received connection request is one of a HTTP, HTTPS or QUIC connection request, and if this cannot be determined than determine if a subject field in the received connection request is available. And determine if a candidate domain name is available from IP cache created from one or more of the above steps if a subject field is not available in the received connection request.

  • Patent number: 10979516
Abstract: The disclosure herein describes using a monitoring tool and a management tool from a cloud native system to monitor and manage an application executing on a legacy system. Network addresses of services running in the application on the legacy systems are discovered. Based on the discovered addresses, a probe is configured for execution on the legacy system by a monitoring tool deployed on the legacy system to obtain metrics data associated with the services running on the legacy system, the metrics data representing execution loads of the application. A management tool deployed on the cloud native system receives the obtained metrics data. The management tool compares the metrics data to one or more performance thresholds associated with the application. Based on the comparison, the management tool adjusts a quantity of instances of the application running on the cloud native system, enabling the cloud native system to share the execution loads.

  • Patent number: 10979303
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for segmentation of maintenance on distributed systems are disclosed. A data set is partitioned according to a hash function into a plurality of segments. A maintenance activity is initiated on a first segment. During the maintenance activity, a first request to perform a first action on the data set is received. Based at least in part on determining that the first request is associated with the first segment using the hash function, the first action is performed using additional processing associated with the maintenance activity. During the maintenance activity, a second request to perform a second action on the data set is received. Based at least in part on determining that the second request is associated with a second segment using the hash function, the second action is performed without the additional processing associated with the maintenance activity.

  • Patent number: 10979538
Abstract: Response delay associated with a state-based client-server application can be reduced with utilization of an application state server-side cache. A server caches data for a set of one or more possible states of a client-server application that may follow a current state of the application. The server rapidly responds to a client request with data that corresponds to an appropriate new state of the application in accordance with the application state server-side cache. The server determines that the application will transition to the appropriate new state from the current state of the application with the application state server-side cache based, at least in part, on an operation indicated by the client request.
