  • Patent number: 9966640
Abstract: The efficiency in layout of an exhaust space for a power source apparatus mounted in an in-car space is increased and uncomfortableness is suppressed due to air discharged from the power source apparatus into the in-car space. A vehicle on which a power source apparatus is mounted includes the power source apparatus disposed in an in-car space of the vehicle, a cooling apparatus supplying air within the in-car space to the power source apparatus, and a cooling duct which the air discharged from the power source apparatus flows. The cooling duct is connected to any one of a first cooling flow path formed by a pillar of the vehicle, a second cooling flow path formed by a frame portion of the vehicle and a stepped portion provided for the frame portion, and a third cooling flow path formed by the frame portion and a scuff plate portion.

  • Patent number: 9957052
Abstract: An Environmental Control System includes sensors, an air purification subsystem, and a controller in communication with the sensors and air purification subsystem. The sensors detect contaminants in outside air supplied through engine and APU bleeds or other air sources including ground supplies and electric compressors, contaminants in recirculated air, particulates in outside air, carbon dioxide in recirculated air, temperature in an environment, and pressure in an environment. These sensed parameters are compared against thresholds. Based on the comparisons, changes to the outside air and/or recirculated air are made.

  • Patent number: 9903608
Abstract: An air conditioner including an opening and closing apparatus configured to open/close a discharge port for discharging air into an indoor space, the opening and closing apparatus includes a plurality of covers provided with a guide unit, a guide plate provided with a spiral guide hole alternately formed with a guide hole having a first section and a second section, and a rail plate extended in a radial direction and having a plurality of rails through which the guide unit is inserted. When the guide plate is rotated, the plurality of covers are moved in a radial direction while having a time interval with respect to the adjacent cover as to open/close the discharge port.

  • Patent number: 9861010
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods are provided for blocking removal of an air-moving assembly from a chassis when in operational state. The apparatus includes a protective louver assembly having a louver(s) and an interlock element(s). The louver(s) is disposed at an air inlet or an air outlet of the air-moving assembly, and pivots between an operational and a quiesced orientation, dependent on presence or absence, respectively, of airflow through the air-moving assembly. The interlock element(s) is associated with the louver(s) to pivot with the louver(s) between the operational orientation and the quiesced orientation. In the operational orientation, the interlock element(s) blocks, at least in part, access to at least one fastener securing the air-moving assembly within the chassis, and thereby prevents removal of the air-moving assembly from the chassis when in the operational state.

  • Patent number: 9841208
Abstract: A heat and energy recovery ventilation unit for a building, having an inside and an outside. The unit including a main body having a fresh air inlet and an indoor air outlet on one side and a fresh air outlet and an indoor air inlet on the other side and having an air to air heat exchanger within the main body and connected to each of said inlets and outlets to define respective air flow passageways for each of said indoor air and said fresh air, the heat exchanger permitting heat and energy exchange between said indoor air and said fresh air. Also included is a first variable speed blower and a second variable speed blower and at least one electronic air flow sensor to measure at least one of the air flows the air flow sensor producing at least one electronic signal related to the sensed air flow.

  • Patent number: 9834309
Abstract: An air supply system for passengers includes an air supply line with a plurality of laterally situated air outlets, an individual air panel with at least one air nozzle and an air inlet opening. The individual air panel can be variably positioned along the air supply line in such a way that the air inlet opening faces one of the air outlets. A plurality of magnetic valves is arranged at the air outlets of the air supply line. One of the magnetic valves may be magnetically actuated by the individual air panel, when the air inlet opening of the individual air panel faces said one magnetic valve, so that air can flow out of the air supply line through the air outlet and the air inlet opening to the air nozzle.
