Abstract: Sheet goods having extremely long repeat lengths and tiles having a large number of different visual patterns are formed by printing two different print patterns having different repeat lengths. The two different print patterns are printed on two films that are laminated together, or on a substrate, or one print pattern on a substrate and one print pattern on a transparent or translucent film that is laminated to the printed substrate.

Abstract: A method for preparing a pixel defining layer (PDL), an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) substrate prepared by the PDL, and a display device are provided, which can overcome the problem that the conventional PDL comprising hydrophilic and hydrophobic materials involves a complicated process. The method for preparing the PDL comprises: step 1: forming a mixed solution on a substrate to form a mixed solution film, in which the mixed solution includes a hydrophilic material, a hydrophobic material and a solvent; step 2: performing heat treatment on the mixed solution film to form a pixel defining material layer in which the content of the hydrophilic material on the upper portion is less than that of the hydrophilic material on the lower portion and the content of the hydrophobic material on the upper portion is more than that of the hydrophobic material on the lower portion; and step 3: forming a pattern of the PDL on the pixel defining material layer by a patterning process.

The thermal stable layer can include aluminum, magnesium, or bismuth doped tin oxide (AlSnO, MgSnO, or BiSnO), which can have better thermal stability than zinc oxide but poorer lattice matching for serving as a seed layer template for silver (111).

Abstract: Polymer compositions containing a polyoxymethylene polymer are disclosed that are receptive to paints and ink coatings. The polymer composition contains a polyoxymethylene polymer having a relatively high functional group content in combination with a coupling agent, a texturizing agent, and optionally a thermoplastic elastomer. The polymer composition can be molded into various articles at a mold temperature less than about 125° C., such as from about 60° C. to about 120° C. and then painted or printed with an ink composition. The polymer composition has been found to dramatically improve adhesion between the molded article and the ink or paint coating.

Abstract: Provided are a resin composition which offers both high transparency and a low linear expansion coefficient and can be used as a material for a dry film, and also a dry film obtained from this composition, an optical waveguide, and a photoelectric composite wiring board. The resin composition for an optical waveguide includes: (A) an epoxy resin constituted by a solid epoxy resin with one or less hydroxyl group in a molecule, and a liquid epoxy resin with one or less hydroxyl group in a molecule; (B) a curing agent with one or less hydroxyl group in a molecule; and (C) a nanosize silica sol, and contains no compound including two or more hydroxyl groups in a molecule as a resin component.
Abstract: A glass panel includes a first surface, and a second surface and wherein the first and second surfaces are spaced apart by thickness of the glass panel. A first image is printed on the first surface of the glass panel and a second image is printed on same first surface of the glass panel and at least partially overlapping the first image. The second image printed on the first surface and at least partially overlapping the first image forms at least partially opaque imbedded into the glass panel image that when covered by a fluid becomes transparent to reveal the first image printed on the second surface of the glass panel.
Abstract: A recordable optical recording medium is provided enabling the light transmission layer to be a single layer, the inhibition of peeling of the recording layer even when stored in high-temperature/high-moisture conditions, and the reduction of degradation of the recording/reproduction characteristics. A recordable optical recording medium provided with a substrate, and, on the substrate in the following order, a reflective layer, a recording layer, a protective layer, and a light transmission layer. The optical recording medium has the recording layer formed thereon using an organic dye obtained by adding a highly waterproof, low hydrophilic organic dye to a triazole-based azo metal complex dye.
Abstract: Certain example embodiments relate to a method of making a coated article and/or glazing (e.g., for automobile, window, and/or other applications). An opaque paint that is not technically a frit is used to form a desired opaque pattern. The paint is screen printed on a substrate. Screen printing parameters are selected, e.g., so that the mesh has a high threads per inch count; the paint is pushed through the screen using hydraulic forces that account for a sheer thinning property of the paint by balancing squeegee speed, squeegee angle relative to the screen, and hardness of the squeegee; and/or relative humidity above and/or near the screen is at least about 80%. Preferably, the paint is substantially fully curable at 400 degrees C. or less. The substrate with the pattern thereon may be bent using a high temperature process, optionally with another substrate to which it may be laminated.
