  • Patent number: 11475130
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention concern detecting Test-Time Evasion (TTE) attacks on neural network, particularly deep neural network (DNN), classifiers. The manner of detection is similar to that used to detect backdoors of a classifier whose training dataset was poisoned. Given knowledge of the classifier itself, the adversary subtly (even imperceptibly) perturbs their input to the classifier at test time in order to cause the class decision to change from a source class to a target class. For example, an image of a person who is unauthorized to access a resource can be modified slightly so that the classifier decides the image is that of an authorized person. The detector is based on employing a method (similar to that used to detect backdoors in DNNs) to discover different such minimal perturbations for each in a set of clean (correctly classified) samples, to change the sample's ground-truth (source) class to every other (target) class.

  • Patent number: 11468292
Abstract: A design application is configured to generate a latent space representation of a fleet of pre-existing vehicles. The design application encodes vehicle designs associated with the fleet of pre-existing vehicles into the latent space representation to generate a first latent space location. The first latent space location represents the characteristic style associated with the fleet of pre-existing vehicles. The design application encodes a sample design provided by a user into the latent space representation to produce a second latent space location. The design application then determines a distance between the first latent space location and the second latent space location. Based on the distance, the design application generates a style metric that indicates the aesthetic similarity between the sample design and the vehicle designs associated with the fleet of pre-existing vehicles. The design application can also generate new vehicle designs based on the latent space representation and the sample design.

  • Patent number: 11435798
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for implementing a dynamic power estimation (DPE) unit that adapts weights in real-time are described. A system includes a processor, a DPE unit, and a power management unit (PMU). The DPE unit generates a power consumption estimate for the processor by multiplying a plurality of weights by a plurality of counter values, with each weight multiplied by a corresponding counter. The DPE unit calculates the sum of the products of the plurality of weights and plurality of counters. The accumulated sum is used as an estimate of the processor's power consumption. On a periodic basis, the estimate is compared to a current sense value to measure the error. If the error is greater than a threshold, then an on-chip learning algorithm dynamically adjust the weights. The PMU uses the power consumption estimates to keep the processor within a thermal envelope.

  • Patent number: 11431539
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for improving the security of secure long training field (LTF) transmissions. In some implementations, a transmitting device may perform windowing on a secure LTF, in the frequency domain, so that the resulting time-domain LTF signal is difficult, if not impossible, to predict by any device that observes a portion of the LTF signal. In some aspects, the transmitting device may negotiate the windowing of secure LTFs with a receiving device based on fine timing measurement (FTM) negotiation frames exchanged at the start of an FTM procedure. In some other aspects, the transmitting device may dynamically or adaptively perform windowing on secure LTFs. In such aspects, the transmitting device may indicate whether windowing is performed on a secure LTF based on information carried in a signal field of a physical layer convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) that includes the secure LTF.
