  • Patent number: 11905147
Abstract: A method for an operation of a forestry winch, which has a rope drum driven by a drive motor and on which a rope is wound up, and has a rope ejector roller for the rope driven by an additional drive motor, whereby the rope is guided from the rope drum to the rope ejector roller and is deflected on the rope ejector roller. The drive motor of the rope drum and the additional drive motor of the rope ejector roller are operated so that when the rope is unspooled from the rope drum, and when the rope is wound up onto the rope drum, a minimum rope pre-tension, in particular a constant minimum rope pre-tension, is generated in the segment of the rope between the rope drum and the rope ejector roller.

  • Patent number: 11905148
Abstract: A snatch block has a stationary first cheek and a movable second cheek that is slidable in its respective plane relative to the stationary first cheek. In a closed position, the second cheek connects with a crown jutting from the first cheek, thereby closing off a swallow of the snatch block. In an open position, an access gap opens into the swallow between the movable second cheek and the crown, thus enabling loading of a rope into the swallow. A locking mechanism with slide latches or rocker arms normally locks the second cheek in the closed position, and requires simultaneous actuation of two discretely separate releases to unlock the second cheek. The second cheek is biased into the open position, providing overt visual indication of any failed latching attempt. A seamlessly integral stud protrudes from the crown to rotatably support a swivel eye thereon.

  • Patent number: 11877569
Abstract: Provided is a fishing reel spool that has a line knot hider. The spool for a fishing reel includes a knot hider for hiding a knot of a fishing line inside the surface of a winding part such that a line is uniformly wound on the winding section without a knot exposed outside the surface of the winding section, thereby not interfering with thumbing in casting and enabling even a beginner to easily connect and use a fishing line without connecting a fishing line to a spool using a complicated knotting manner. The spool for a fishing ring includes a drum-shaped winding part mounted on a reel body by a shaft and configured to wind a fishing line on an outer surface thereof, and a knot hider configured to hide a knot of the fishing line inside a surface of the winding part.

  • Patent number: 11878892
Abstract: An improved system for handling delicate linear media and in particular to a method and apparatus for winding delicate linear media such as superconducting wire or tape or optical fibers onto a spool or former. A combination of direct closed loop control and media routing design facilitates the handling of the delicate media without causing damage. The axial tension in the linear media may be closely controlled during winding by means of feedback control loop using tension measurements to control the rotation speeds of the wind-from and wind-to spools. Further, during winding, the delicate linear media is only exposed to large radius bends with no reverse bending. Finally, output devices and features, commercial or otherwise, made possible by delicate linear media handling are revealed. This includes advanced SC devices and features.
