  • Patent number: 11390496
Abstract: A control unit of the crane controls drives that move an upper load suspension point and, together therewith, a load suspended via a cable system. As the upper load suspension point is moved, an inner safety zone around the load is repeatedly dynamically determined according to state variables of the crane. The state variables include at least a position and a speed of movement of the upper load suspension point, and an effective pendulum length of the load. The control unit checks, based on further known information whether an object different from the load has entered the inner safety zone, in which case the movement of the upper load suspension point is stopped or a message to stop the movement is outputted to an operator of the crane. Otherwise, the movement is maintained or no message to stop the movement is outputted to the operator.

  • Patent number: 11382319
Abstract: A fishing spinning reel that eliminates problems associated with line twist by providing a rotor adapted for both forward and reverse rotation wherein a drag assembly applies drag to the rotor using an adjustable cam mechanism to prevent the rotor from imparting twist on the line when in the winding mode. By enabling the rotor to rotate in a reverse direction with the application of drag the present invention prevents line twist when fighting a fish by allowing the rotor to rotate in a reverse direction to let out line and/or to remain stationary as the handle is cranked thereby preventing the rotor from imparting twist on the line.

  • Patent number: 11384795
Abstract: A tensioning arrangement for a bearing ring, which introduces a compressive force towards a rotational centre of the bearing ring, to prevent the bearing ring distorting as a shaft supported by the bearing turns. The tensioner arrangement includes a strap and a tensioner. The strap has a connector at each end, and tensioner has an element for connecting to the connectors. The tensioner also has an element for applying tension to the strap. In use, the strap is arranged around the bearing ring and a circumferential length of the strap in contact with the bearing ring is reduced, thereby applying compressive force to the bearing ring.

  • Patent number: 11350618
Abstract: A reel, such as a spincast reel, provides increased cranking power by eliminating sliding contact associated with a line pickup mechanism when the reel is in line retrieval mode. Fishing line is retrieved by locating a cam member proximate a body spool boss during a casting state for positioning the cam member to be acted on by cam engaging structure of the body spool boss. The cam member is rotated relative to the body spool boss. The cam member and a pick up pin are moved radially outwardly by the cam engaging structure. The cam member is axially moved away from the body spool boss. The cam member may then be rotated relative to the body spool boss during a line retrieve state, wherein the cam member and the body spool boss are spaced apart from one another for facilitating frictionless relative rotation.
