Abstract: A frame that is configured to hold a window air conditioner unit includes a main frame body having an opening formed therein for receiving the air conditioner unit. The frame includes a pair of adjustable side support frames that are slidingly coupled to the main frame body for filling a space between sides of the air conditioner unit and sides of the window frame. Each of the side support frames includes a take-up device for securing the frame within a window channel of the window frame. The take-up device has a fixed stop fixedly attached to the side support frame and an adjustable stop that is movable in a forward-rearward direction. The take-up device further includes an actuator that is accessible to a user along the main frame body and is configured to move the adjustable stop in the forward-rearward direction.

Abstract: A chiller system according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes a compressor section and a controller. The compressor section has a first refrigerant compressor having a first cooling capacity and a second refrigerant compressor having a second cooling capacity different from the first cooling capacity. The controller is configured to selectively operate the first and second refrigerant compressors.
Abstract: An ice cream making apparatus for chilling a solution with a freezer bowl having a great thermal capacity and being formed from a material that is thermally conductive. The freezer bowl has an interior surface that is generally radially symmetric and forms a container to hold the solution. A drive mechanism is included for rotating the solution at a rate sufficient to centrifugally disperse the solution onto a dynamic contact area of the interior surface. The interior surface having a contour that gives the solution a thin layer when centrifugally dispersed, the thin layer having an average thickness less than 1.5 cm to increase the rate of heat transfer from the solution to the freezer bowl.
