Abstract: An image processing device includes a data acquisition unit, an instruction receiving unit, an image conversion pattern storage unit, and an image processing unit. The image conversion pattern storage unit stores a plurality of image conversion patterns having different dot thinning ratios and scaling ratios corresponding to the respective image conversion patterns, in which the image conversion patterns having smaller dot thinning ratios are mapped to greater scaling ratios. The image processing unit reads the image conversion pattern mapped to the scaling ratio designated for the n-up printing out of the image conversion pattern storage unit when the instructions to carry out the n-up printing and the toner-saving printing are received by the instruction receiving unit, and performs image processing on the image data acquired by the data acquisition unit using the image conversion pattern.
Abstract: A system including an image forming apparatus and a terminal for displaying an image acquired by a capturing unit on a display, wherein the terminal comprises: a unit which transmits a current position information, a unit which receives the distribution data in response to the transmission of the current position information, a unit which performs display control such that, when an image including the image forming apparatus is displayed on the display, a message included in distribution data distributed by the image forming apparatus and received from the server is superimposedly displayed on the image, a unit which accepts a print instruction made after the message displayed on the display is selected, and a unit which transmits print data to the image forming apparatus that distributed the distribution data containing the selected message according to the print instruction.
Abstract: A multifunctional image forming apparatus includes: a communication device communicable with a server providing a service related to image formation with the user; a display operation device having a display function, for receiving a user operation; and an image forming unit for forming an image in response to a user instruction received through the display operation device. The multifunctional image forming apparatus receives an input operation by the user through the display operation device, displays a screen in accordance with the input operation and, in addition, executes a user registration process for the service provided by the server through communication with the server through the communication device, and displays a screen thereof.
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a print controller, a calculation unit, a generation unit, and a display controller. The print controller makes print images for plural pages be printed. The calculation unit calculates, if a time required for display is longer than a time required for printing, a page interval at which display of a reduced image in synchronization with completion of printing of a print image is possible. The generation unit generates reduced images of print images for pages among the plural pages at the calculated page interval. The display controller makes a reduced image of a print image be displayed in synchronization with completion of printing of the print image. If a reduced image of a print image to be displayed in synchronization with completion of printing of the print image has not been generated, the display controller makes a reduced image generated last be displayed.
Abstract: One or more methods, systems and computer program products enables selectable management and queuing of print jobs across multiple available printers available to a device generating the print job. One or more embodiments present a smart print queue with document level view and printer-level transfer of queued print jobs.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus to perform direct printing of print data, wherein the image forming apparatus receives print data encoded in a first encoding method, determines whether the received print data includes a character expressed in 2 bytes, converts the print data encoded in the first encoding method to be encoded in a second encoding method of analyzing the character expressed in 2 bytes in the image forming apparatus if the print data includes the character expressed in 2 bytes, and forms an image of the converted print data.
Abstract: A printer is configured to print on a tape-type print medium. The printer includes a processor and a memory. The memory is configured to store computer-readable instructions that instruct the printer to perform a process including displaying, on a display portion, characters, a block break line, and block numbers in a case where print data include block data and block break data. The block break line is a line segment that indicates a break position between adjacent blocks of a plurality of blocks. Each of the plurality of blocks contains at least one line's worth of characters. The block numbers indicate sequence numbers for the plurality of blocks. The block data is data for the plurality of blocks. The block break data is data that indicate the break position. The plurality of blocks is to be printed in a first direction in which the plurality of blocks are arrayed.
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a conversion unit and a determination unit to convert image data into color material data including color material data indicating a color material amount of a chromatic color material and color material data indicating a color material amount of an achromatic color material. The conversion unit converts image data of a region of interest in an image into the color material data of the chromatic color material. The determination unit determines the color material data of the achromatic color material corresponding to the image data so that a color indicated by coloring information corresponding to the image data of the region of interest in the image approaches an achromatic color.
Abstract: A print system is provided which can execute, in a case that a jam occurs in a sheet processing apparatus, recovery processing of a job in which the jam occurred without wasting a sheet that has been already used in a subsequent job.
