    Abstract: There is provided a lamp unit which is to be installed in a vehicle. The lamp unit includes a light source; a projector lens; a rotary shade that is disposed behind the projector lens so as to block a portion of the light emitted from the light source and that has a rotation axis; and a drive mechanism that rotates the rotary shade about the rotation axis. The rotary shade includes: a first end edge; a second end edge; and a twisted end edge that extends around the rotation axis so as to intersect with the first end edge and the second end edge. A first inclination angle is formed between the rotation axis and a first imaginary plane that is orthogonal to an optical axis of the projector lens.

    Abstract: Electric lamps are mounted by lamp arms to lamp pulleys that are, in turn, mounted to a rigid frame. A motor-driven belt synchronously rotates the lamps via frictional contact with the lamp pulleys to position the lamps to optimally illuminate a target surface. The lamps can be synchronously moved from a first location outside the periphery of the frame to a second location within the frame periphery by operation of the motor driving the belt. In either location, as well as in any other location, the apparatus provides an un-impeded, pass-through opening within the frame for an un-impeded line of sight to the target surface. Furthermore, the radial distance from each lamp to the geometric center of the frame remains the same, and the lamps remain spaced equally apart from each other.

    Abstract: A heat dissipation module and a modular lighting device with the heat dissipation module are provided. The modular lighting device includes a transparent lamp cover and a lamp body. The transparent lamp cover and the lamp body are combined together easily. The heat dissipation module is disposed within a smooth cup-shaped receiving chamber. A circuit board is accommodated within the receiving chamber. An electronic component on the circuit board is contacted with the heat dissipation module. The arrangement of the heat dissipation module can increase the heat dissipating efficiency of the modular lighting device. In comparison with the conventional fin-type lamp cup, the fabricating cost of the lamp cup of the modular lighting device of the present invention is reduced.

    Abstract: A lighted hand tool includes a cylindrical-shaped rivet member, and a first and second tool member each having a handle, a jaw, and a pivot portion therebetween. A cylindrical bore section is defined by each pivot portion, and each bore is in co-axial alignment for aligned receipt of the rivet member therein. The rivet member prevents lateral separation of the first and second hand tool therebetween, while enabling pivotal movement of the jaw portions. An illumination device is formed for sliding receipt in the receiving channel of the rivet member, and aligns an output portion with the communication port to illuminate the work area. A first end cap and second cap are threadably disposed in the opposite openings into the rivet member. The first and second end cap cooperate to securely abut and seat the illumination device therebetween.
