The processor is to parse a formula of a first cell of a first spreadsheet document for a second cell, the first spreadsheet document being associated with a first user having a set of user access descriptors and to determine, based on the set of user access descriptors, whether the first user has access to one or more canonical names referenced in the formula. The interface is to provide display information to the first user either the canonical name in the event that the first user has access to the canonical name or an opaque identifier in the event that the first user does not have access to the canonical name.

Abstract: In some implementations, a device displays a user interface that provides supplemental information in connection with a digital work. For example, the supplemental information may include a listing of objects identified in the digital work. Further, a visual representation may be displayed with each listed object. The visual representation for each listed object may provide a representation of at least one location of at least one occurrence of the object in the digital work. The objects may be displayed according to a supplemental information view, a page view, a chapter view, a book view, a series view, a library view, or the like. Additionally, one or more object buttons may be displayed concurrently with the listing of objects. In the method: dragging a folder in a touch interface of a terminal; when a preset move-in triggering event is detected, determining whether a capture area of the folder includes an application icon, where the capture area of the folder is an area that is determined according to a location of the folder in the touch interface and whose size is within a preset range or the capture area of the folder is an area marked by a user in the touch interface; and when an application icon exists in coverage of the capture area of the folder, moving the application icon in the capture area of the folder from the outside of the folder to the folder.

Abstract: System and methods for creating on-demand robotic process automation are described. In one example hardware processor-implemented method embodiment, an application providing graphical user interfaces is executed, and a monitoring program executing independently of the application. Using the monitoring program, a screen capture image is obtained of the graphical user interfaces. Graphical user interface elements are identified using a computerized image processing technique. Metadata on presence of confirmatory predictors for the elements, and confirmatory predictor vectors for the interfaces, are generated. Confusion indices for the confirmatory predictors and the confirmatory predictor vectors are calculated, Threshold values are generated based on the calculated confusion indices. A decision table is generated storing sequences of user interactions with the graphical user interface elements. A subset of the stored sequences is identified as yielding a successful outcome.

Abstract: A user, a manipulator such as a hand, and at least one entity such as a virtual or augmented reality object are in an interface such as a 3D environmental interface. The manipulation distance is the distance between a reference feature of the user and a manipulation feature of the manipulator. The entity distance is the distance between the reference feature and an entity feature of the entity. When the manipulation distance becomes greater than the entity distance, the entity is caused to fade, disappear, move out of the way, shrink, etc. so as to be less of an obstruction to the user's field of view, for example to avoid obstructing more distant entities. Other factors than the manipulation distance and entity distance may be considered in determining whether to reduce the obstructivity of the entity, and exceptions to the obstruction relation may be considered.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to systems for designing, generating, and/or creating maintenance arrangements for repairable systems in an interactive workspace, such as for computer simulation of maintenance events. Some embodiments are particularly directed to an interactive workspace that enables assignments and intuitive modeling of a maintenance arrangement associated with one or more components in a reliability block diagram (RBD). In embodiments, a system maintenance arrangement for one or more components of the RBD may be generated in a diagram workspace by associating events selected from an event menu with one or more components in an RBD; and by associating actions selected from an action menu with one or more events via the addition of linking elements. In such embodiments, resolution of an occurrence of an event, such as during a computer simulation, may depend on performance or simulated performance of the actions associated with the event via linking elements.

Abstract: Systems and methods for customizing avatars responsive to events are provided. An event is received and a topical category for the event is determined. A plurality of assets and a scene responsive to the event is obtained. Each such asset determines a position of an avatar in the scene over time. The avatar is associated with a user that has designated an interest in the topical category. The avatar is obtained from a user profile associated with the user. A sticker is formed comprising the scene and an altered version of the avatar. The altered version of the avatar comprises: (i) one or more visible layers that are present in the avatar and (ii) one or more visible layers that are not present in the avatar and that include all or a portion of the plurality of assets, thereby forming a sticker. The sticker is then provided to the user.

Abstract: Some embodiments implement a linear switching application that provides functionality for switching between different windows based on an x-axis ordering of the windows instead of the z-axis or other ordering of prior art. The linear switching application identifies an array of currently open windows and sorts the array based on the leftmost x-coordinate position of the windows in the array. Optionally, the linear switching application modifies the GUI to display window identifiers based on the leftmost x-coordinate position of each window to orient the user to the x-coordinate position of each of the windows on-screen. The application determines an index in the current x-sorted array for the window that is currently frontmost and changes the frontmost window based on the current frontmost window and a directional input provided by the user.
