  • Patent number: 11222411
Abstract: A method and system for automatically adapting an image data set obtained by an X-ray device. Binary masks are generated for single images of the image data set. The masks differentiate different components of an imaged target object from each other. A reference image of the image data set is determined therefrom, that contains a largest cohesive region of one of the components. From a mean value determined for the region and a specified target value, an offset is determined in such a way that by applying it to the pixel values used for determining the mean value. The pixel values are adapted in such a way that a mean value of the pixel values adapted by the offset corresponds to the specified target value. The determined offset is then applied to all pixel values of the image data set in order to adapt the image data set.

  • Patent number: 11216784
Abstract: In an illustrative embodiment, systems and methods for automating candidate video assessments include receiving a submission from a candidate for an available position including baseline response video segments and question response video segments. The system can determine, from detected nonverbal features within the baseline response video segments, nonverbal baseline scores. For each of the interview questions, candidate response attributes can be detected including a response direction, a response speed, and nonverbal features. A nonverbal reaction score is calculated from the detected nonverbal features and the baseline scores. A response score can be calculated from the response direction and response speed, and a trustworthiness score is determined based on a correspondence between the response score and the nonverbal reaction score. A next interview question can be determined in real-time from a benchmarked version of the response score.

  • Patent number: 11170215
Abstract: Captured samples of a physical structure or other scene are mapped to a predetermined multi-dimensional coordinate space, and spatially-adjacent samples are organized into array cells representing subspaces thereof. Each cell is classified according to predetermined target-identifying criteria for the samples of the cell. A cluster of spatially-contiguous cells of common classification, peripherally bounded by cells of different classification, is constructed, and a boundary demarcation is defined from the peripheral contour of the cluster. The boundary demarcation is overlaid upon a visual display of the physical scene, thereby visually demarcating the boundaries of a detected target of interest.

Abstract: A placement detection system includes: a placement table; an imaging device that images an object placed on the placement table to generate an input image; and a control device. The control device generates a first binarized image for the input image based on a first threshold value and determines whether the object is placed in a predetermined placement orientation. The control device changes a threshold value for a target pixel to a second threshold value higher than the first threshold value when the object is determined to be placed in the predetermined placement orientation, the target pixel being sandwiched between pixels having pixel levels lower than or equal to the first threshold value and has a higher pixel level than the first threshold value in a first region, generates a second binarized image for the target pixel based on the second threshold value, and detects a shape of the object.

  • Patent number: 11153550
Abstract: Systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are disclosed that enable the compression of depth data and real-time reconstruction of high-quality light fields. In one aspect, spatial compression and decompression of depth images is divided into the following stages: generating a quadtree data structure for each depth image captured by a light field probe and difference mask associated with the depth image, with each node of the quadtree approximating a corresponding portion of the depth image data using an approximating function; generating, from the quadtree for each depth image, a runtime packed form that is more lightweight and has a desired maximum error; and assembling multiple such runtime packed forms into per-probe stream(s); and decoding at runtime the assembled per-probe stream(s). Further, a block compression format is disclosed for approximating depth data by augmenting the block compression format 3DC+(BC4) with a line and two pairs of endpoints.
