  • Patent number: 11284366
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for dynamic beam sweeping a synchronization signal based on historical usage patterns. In response to determining a recurring pattern of a plurality of user devices being disposed within a certain portion of a sector during a time period, a modified beam sweeping protocol may be implemented. The modified beam sweeping protocol decreases the average periodicity of a series of synchronization signals that are transmitted to a distinct portion of the sector using a distinct beamform, increasing the likelihood of synchronization between user devices and a network, decreasing interference and other undesirable network conditions.

  • Patent number: 11284410
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a data transmission method, a network device and a terminal. In embodiments of the present disclosure, the network device determines a processing interval of the terminal according to parameter(s) reported by the terminal, and then compares a scheduling interval for resource allocation for the terminal with the determined processing interval of the terminal. When the scheduling interval is less than the processing interval, the network device transmits data through a physical downlink shared channel after the scheduling interval by using pre-configured quasi-co-location information corresponding to the terminal.

  • Patent number: 11259365
Abstract: A method for managing one or more wireless connections includes: conducting a plurality of scan operations and a plurality of connection operations. Each scan operation is conducted within one of a plurality of scan windows, and each connection operation is conducted within one of a plurality of connection windows. The scan windows and the connection windows do not overlap with each other. Consecutive scan windows are separated by a scan interval, which is a first integer multiplication of a minimum interval, and consecutive connection windows are separated by a connection interval, which is a second integer multiplication of the minimum interval. When a new wireless connection is added or an existing wireless connection is removed, the link positions corresponding to wireless connections are adjusted to provide balanced distribution of time slot resource for the wireless connections.

  • Patent number: 11252788
Abstract: A system described herein may provide a technique for the modeling of channel condition information, associated with a base station of a radio access network (“RAN”) associated with a wireless network, over time. The model may be used to determine, estimate, or predict channel information associated with the base station at a given time, such as a time corresponding to a request for content (e.g., streaming content). The channel condition information corresponding to this time, as determined based on the model, may be used to select a particular version of the content to provide in response to the request. By virtue of receiving this information, the content provider may forgo performing a speed test, a ramp up transmission scheme, and/or other technique that may otherwise used to select the version of the content to provide in response to the request.

  • Patent number: 11223926
Abstract: Systems and techniques are disclosed for statistically associating mobile devices and non-mobile devices with geographic areas. One of the methods includes for each selected mobile device of a plurality of mobile devices, receiving latitude-longitude pairs for the selected mobile device, the latitude-longitude pairs corresponding to a location of the selected mobile device during a time period. The plurality of latitude-longitude pairs are organized into clusters, with the clusters corresponding to geographic regions visited by the selected mobile device during the time period. A score is calculated for each cluster, the score representing a likelihood that a user of the selected mobile device resides in a household within the cluster. A location of the user's household is identified to be within one of the geographic areas corresponding to the cluster having the highest score. The mobile device is associated with the geographic area having the highest score.

  • Patent number: 11223964
Abstract: A dynamic temperature manager of a wireless system determines a threshold temperature defined by one or more operating parameters of the wireless system, the threshold temperature indicating a temperature in response to which power consumption of the wireless system is to be reduced. The dynamic temperature manager receives an indication of a temperature of the wireless system. A determination is made that the temperature exceeds the threshold temperature. The dynamic temperature manager provides an indication to cause a media access control (MAC) processing circuitry of the wireless system to adjust the one or more operating parameters of the wireless system to reduce the power consumption and the temperature of the wireless system based on the determination that the temperature exceeds the threshold temperature.
