  • Patent number: 5454983
Abstract: Aqueous, liquid hard surface detergent compositions contain zwitterionic and cationic detergent surfactants and monoethanolamine and/or other specific beta-aminoalkanols as solvents and/or buffers for improved spotting/filming and good cleaning. Some formulas do not contain large amounts of builders and are suitable for general purpose cleaning including cleaning of glass. Other formulas are concentrated and contain chelating agents (detergent builders) to improve stability of more dilute compositions prepared from the concentrated compositions. Some of the formulas, both dilute and concentrated, possess disinfectant properties.

  • Patent number: 4997641
Abstract: A hair conditioning shampoo is described, which contains C.sub.6, C.sub.8 and/or C.sub.10 alkyl sulfate and/or C.sub.6, C.sub.8 and/or C.sub.10 alkyl lower alkoxylate sulfate as an anionic detergent component, a water insoluble conditioning agent(s) from the group of silicones (preferably a certain type of aminosilicone), polyethylenes, paraffins, isoparaffins, microcrystalline waxes, C.sub.18-36(mixed) fatty acids or such triglycerides, high fatty alcohol ester of a high fatty acid (such as stearyl stearate), beeswax, cationic conditioning agent, such as a quaternary ammonium or any mixture thereof, and a stabilizer for the shampoo, in water. Among adjuvants that may be present are lauric monoethanolamide, cocodiethanolamide, and hydroxyethyl cellulose, other thickeners and viscosity modifiers, pH adjusting agents, antioxidants perfumes and colorants. The presence of the C.sub.6, C.sub.8 and or C.sub.10 alkyl sulfate and/or C.sub.6, C.sub.8 and/or C.sub.

  • Patent number: 4994199
Abstract: Novel nonionic antimicrobial amine glycidol compounds which may be used in cleaning compositions with anionics, nonionics or cationic surfactants as cleaning agents or a preservative in water-based functional fluids or surface coating compositions are represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein R is an alkyl group having from about 8 to about 18 carbon atoms, and mixtures thereof, R.sub.1 is selected from the group consisting of benzyl or an alkyl group having from 1 to about 12 carbon atoms, X is Cl, Br, or I, and n and m are from 1 to about 6.

  • Patent number: 4992193
Abstract: A detergent powder contains soap-based noodles also containing 2 to 15% of free fatty acid and 1.5 to 5% of an inorganic salt such as sodium chloride. The free fatty acid improves the dissolution rate of the noodles, while the salt compensates for the softness of the soap composition, due to the free fatty acid, that makes noodle production difficult.
