  • Patent number: 4598742
Abstract: Method and apparatus for monitoring liquid stock in a storage tank. A prism connected by optical fibers is located at a fixed position in a tank, the volume of liquid at the fixed position being determined. A computer receives data relating to the liquid dispensed, and the liquid received, and calculates an amount of liquid in the tank at the moment the liquid passes the fixed prism. The calculated data is compared to the exact volume data received from the prism.

  • Patent number: 4439654
Abstract: A rotatable control with an integral switch comprises conductive inner and outer shaft in a concentric configuration. The inner and outer shaft are electrically insulated from one another and frictionally coupled to allow concentric simultaneous rotation. The assembly is covered with a flexible insulating shroud which has a switch contact located on the upper interior surface thereof. Conductive spring members are clipped around the lower portion of the inner and outer shaft to allow electrical connection to a circuit board.

  • Patent number: 4417115
Abstract: A switch actuating assembly for a keyboard switch comprises a frame and plunger slideably mounted on the frame. The plunger has an integral deflectable camming arm extending parallel to the frame from its upper end. The camming arm engages a cam on the frame during depression of the plunger to provide tactile effect when the switch is closed. The plunger can be assembled to the frame in any one of three orientations to provide the tactile effect, to provide a shift locking effect, or to permit closing of the switch without tactile effect.

  • Patent number: 4401872
Abstract: A multi-pole circuit breaker having a molded case and a contact operating mechanism supported in said case. The mechanism is controlled by a handle and a trip device. To obtain the reset of the trip hook when said trip device has opened the contacts, a rocker secured to the handle engages a drive lever forming an extension of the upper link of a toggle joint of said mechanism. The catch of the trip device is biased into an intermediate balanced locking position by means of a spring and is positioned onto a pivot pin by means of radial projection insides the bore of the catch which fits into a matching groove of the pin.

  • Patent number: 4396812
Abstract: By providing a key actuated tumbler, rotationally journaled in a housing in juxtaposed spaced relationship to a pair of contacts, one of which comprises an elongated resiliently flexible member, with the tumbler incorporating actuating means for controllably moving the flexible contact from its first non-conductive position to its second conductive position, an inexpensive, easily manufactured and installed electric, key-controlled switch lock is achieved. In the preferred embodiment, the tumbler is mounted in a housing which incorporates a contact holding zone for positioning and maintaining the tumbler and the flexible contact in juxtaposed spaced cooperating relationship with the entire assembly directly mountable to a printed circuit board for initiating and terminating the flow of electric current thereto.
