  • Patent number: 11785131
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method of providing enhanced content to a PSAP or other service center whereby when a 911 call is to be initiated, prior to the call or text communication being sent, the software application on the device contacts the cloud-based dynamic page service. The cloud-based dynamic page service receives event information, dynamically creates a page for the event along with a page identifier, and sends the page identifier to the software application of the initiating device. Then, the software application on the device initiates a 911 communication and includes the page identifier with the communication. In some cases, the page identifier may be sent as a separate communication.

  • Patent number: 11778586
Abstract: A vehicle determines that a stop is upcoming along a route and determines that the upcoming stop will place the vehicle within range of a wireless transceiver. The vehicle approximates a predicted transfer rate of the wireless transceiver and determines if data onboard the first vehicle is to be uploaded, based on at least a size of the data, a priority assigned to the data and the predicted transfer rate. Additionally, the vehicle determines a predicted duration of communication between the vehicle and the transceiver based on the route and the upcoming stop, allowing the vehicle to determine a first predicted amount of data able to be transferred. The vehicle designates first data for upload, based on the first data having a size that is below the first predicted amount and begins transferring the designated data responsive to establishing communication with the wireless transceiver.

  • Patent number: 11706586
Abstract: Techniques are described herein for improving road safety use cases in a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication environment. The techniques include assigning of a plurality of calculated/precalculated geofencing areas on a projected path of a responding emergency vehicle. With the assigned geofencing areas, a remote management network such as a V2X communications server may identify the V2X components (user equipment, traffic lights, vehicle embedded devices, etc.) and send notifications to the identified V2X components in each assigned geofencing area and at different timing periods. The identification of the V2X components and the sending of the notifications at different timing periods improve the traffic awareness between the V2X components in the V2X communication environment.

  • Patent number: 11694279
Abstract: Systems implement a software platform that creates dynamic user device pools that facilitate in-person engagement between and among platform users as well as the participation in local events and activities. The system includes a profile server that communicates with one or more user computing devices, such as smartphones. The provider server determines a pool area that can be predefined or determined based on a geometric area surrounding a user computing device. The provider server determines the user devices within the pool area and obtains profile data associated with the user devices where the profile data represents information personal to the platform users. The provider server applies user relationship information and privacy settings to filter the profile data before transmitting the profile data to user computing devices for display. Platform users communicate with other users in the pool area according to permissions settings that safely limit the types of permissible communications.

  • Patent number: 11696098
Abstract: Systems and methods define an enhanced charging function (CHF) in a communication network by creating a type of slice analysis functionality. For example, the system can access slice information from multiple Policy Control Functions (PCFs) and determine analytics for multiple slices associated with a subscriber user/device or group of subscriber users/devices. Using the enhanced CHF, the system can trigger slice level decisions at a higher level of the hierarchy based on information being aggregated for family devices/plans, category, quota, usage, or other groupings at the CHF instead of just at the individual slice level (e.g., similar to standard PCF functionality).
