  • Patent number: 8883002
Abstract: This invention provides a separating agent for optical isomers, which has high asymmetry recognition ability and can be used particularly at a high flow rate when used for the separation of the optical isomers, and a separation column for optical isomers having the same. This invention provides: a separating agent for optical isomers which is used for separation of optical isomers in a sample comprising the optical isomers, which is comprising a monolithic inorganic type carrier having a meso pore formed on an inner wall surface of a specific macropore, and a polysaccharide or a polysaccharide derivative supported on the monolithic inorganic type carrier, wherein the meso pore has a pore size of 6 to 100 nm; and a separation column for optical isomers in which the separating agent for optical isomers is held in a column tube.

  • Patent number: 7214313
Abstract: A two-dimensional liquid chromatograph includes a first-dimension separation channel for guiding a sample injected from a sample injection part to a first-dimension analysis column using a first-dimension analysis mobile phase for separation; two trap columns; an analysis channel for guiding components retained in the trap columns to a second-dimension analysis column using a second-dimension analysis mobile phase for analysis; and a channel switching mechanism. The switching mechanism connects the first-dimension separation channel to one of the trap columns and connecting the analysis channel to the other of the trap columns, and also switches connections between the trap columns and the channels.

  • Patent number: 5980742
Abstract: Used for high performance liquid chromatography systems, a degassing unit with degassing performance of high fluid replacement efficiency in a small volume is described, which is composed of (1) a flat rectangular hollow enclosure using two rectangular degassable film sheets which fringes are sealed hermetically to form an internal space, and providing two independent openings at separate positions; one for an inlet to feed eluent in and the other for an outlet to feed it out, (2) two sheet plates with a number of holes, of the same shape as that of the film sheets, each of which is closely fitted to either side of the film sheets to prevent the expansion of the hollow enclosure, (3) a degassing module having the fringe of the hollow enclosure and the fringes of the plates with holes piled in one upon another with a pair of holding frames which allow to expose the outside surface areas of the sheet plates, (4) a vacuum chamber accommodating the degassing module and enclosing the surrounding space around it, a

  • Patent number: 5163982
Abstract: A process to find the stability of mixtures of oils, including that of shale oils, and of distilled fractions of petroleum oils is described, which process may be extended to any mixtures of non-ionic compounds containing a non-polar hydrocarbon moiety and a heteroatomic polar moiety, and such polar and non-polar moieties may lie in the same or different molecules.
