  • Patent number: 10700767
Abstract: A ground weather center may transmit information requests that carry at least one meteorological specific triggering command. An airborne system may translate the triggering command into detectable meteorological conditions and may arm the trigger(s) for specific weather sensors accordingly and downlink information upon the airborne system detects the triggering conditions. By using such a triggering command, the airborne system may be able transmit the same amount of valuable information with less bandwidth by reducing the number of redundant downlinked packets.

  • Patent number: 10645164
Abstract: A processing device receives a request from a remote computing device to read data from a virtual storage device. The processing device identifies a physical storage device to be accessed to satisfy the request. The processing device then sends a sub-request to the physical storage device to access a portion of the physical storage device. Responsive to determining that the physical storage device has not returned a response to the sub-request within a latency threshold time associated with the physical storage device, the processing device initiates recovery of the portion of the physical storage device to recompute contents of the portion of the physical storage device. The processing device then returns a response to the request from the remote computing device.

  • Patent number: 10554774
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose an information pushing method performed at a computer server, the method comprising: receiving an information retrieving request sent by a client; in response to the information retrieving request, identifying an information list and a current retrieval position of the information list; retrieving, from the information list, multiple pieces of information starting from the current retrieval position in a cyclic manner; and pushing the multiple pieces of information to the client, wherein the multiple pieces of information is presented at the client in their retrieval order.

  • Patent number: 10536559
Abstract: Session level restrictions can be implemented to limit access to a redirected interface of a composite device. These session level restrictions can be defined within a policy of a directory service, such as Active Directory, to facilitate the dynamic application of the restrictions to the appropriate remote sessions. In this way, access restrictions can be applied to individual interfaces of a redirected composite device so that a particular interface will only be accessible from specified remote sessions.

  • Patent number: 10530660
Abstract: Disclosed aspects include managing a set of application bundles for processing a stream of tuples. A set of application bundles which are installed on a second compute node is monitored by a first compute node. A candidate application bundle of the set of application bundles is detected by the first compute node. A determination is made to install the candidate application bundle on the first compute node. The determination is made by the first compute node based on a set of anticipation criteria. The candidate application bundle is installed on the first compute node.

  • Patent number: 10440082
Abstract: Techniques are described for adjusting parameter settings for bitrate selection algorithms for devices streaming media content. Control parameter settings are selected for playback of first media content. Test parameter settings are selected for playback of second media content. If the test parameter settings result in better playback performance relative to the control parameter settings, the test parameter settings become the new control parameter settings.

  • Patent number: 10439674
Abstract: A network node includes a pushbutton to provide a button-press event and a pairer to receive the button-press event while not being in a secure domain. In response to the button-press, the pairer alternates between acting as an endpoint node and acting as a temporary domain master, until pairing is completed. In an alternative embodiment, the node includes a multi-pairer to receive the button press event and, in response, to open a pairing window, to become a domain master of a secure network and to join more than one other network node receiving a button press event to the secure network until the pairing window closes.

  • Patent number: 10374882
Abstract: Embodiments of this disclosure filter a set of key performance indicators (KPIs) based on various criteria to reduce the number of root causes that are considered when adjusting the wireless configuration parameters. In particular, the set of KPIs may be filtered based on various criteria. In one example, KPIs having a hit-ratio below a hit-ratio threshold are removed from the set of KPIs. In another example, KPIs having a slope of linear regression below a threshold slope are removed from the set of KPIs. In yet another example, a KPI is removed from the set of KPIs when a causal relationship between the KPI and another KPI in the set of KPIs exceeds a threshold. In yet another example, a KPI is removed from the set of KPIs when the KPI has a prediction impact score that fails to exceed a prediction impact threshold.

  • Patent number: 10375437
Abstract: A wireless connection may be established between a first computing device and a second computing device. A first media content may be displayed by the first computing device. The wireless connection may be determined to include a signal strength. The signal strength may be determined to be below a signal strength. In response to the determining that the wireless connection includes a signal strength and determining that the signal strength is below a threshold, a first bookmark may be generated. The first bookmark may reference a location within the first media content.

  • Patent number: 10127213
Abstract: A system determines whether to restrain collection of data entered into an input control by generating an overlay input field for capturing data entered by a user in response to determining that the collection of data is to be restrained. The data may be edited by the user, via the overlay input field, prior to the user submitting the data to the input control. The system submits the data captured in the overlay input field to the input control. The editing performed by the user within the overlay input field restrains collection of data by input controls that auto stream data as the data is entered into the input control.
