Abstract: The subject technology executes a change on an existing micro-partition of a table, the executing of the change comprising generating a new micro-partition that embodies the change and deleting the existing micro-partition. The subject technology receives a request for a delta for the table between a first timestamp and a second timestamp. The subject technology responsively determines the delta based on a table history, the delta including information indicating at least one operation that was performed to at least one row of a set of rows of the table, without including information as to intermediate changes made to at least one row of the set of rows of the table between the first timestamp and the second timestamp, that facilitates a reduction in storage of historical versions of the set of rows of the table.

Abstract: Examples described herein generally relate to a computer system including a knowledge graph storing a plurality of entities. The computer system compares source documents within an enterprise intranet to a plurality of templates defining potential entity attributes to identify extracts matching at least one of the plurality of templates. The computer system parses the extracts according to respective templates of the plurality of templates that match the extracts to determine instances. The computer system performs incremental clustering on a number of the instances to determine potential entity names. The computer system queries the knowledge graph with the potential entity names to obtain a set of candidate entity records. The computer system links the potential entity names with at least partial matching ones of the set of candidate entity records to define updated matching candidate entity records. The computer system updates the knowledge graph with the updated matching candidate entity records.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for anomaly comparison across multiple assets and time-scales are provided herein. A computer-implemented method includes obtaining time-series data for each one of a plurality of assets; determining, for each of a plurality of time scales, one or more segments of the time-series data for each one of the plurality of assets; generating a graph for each one of the time-scales, the graph representing similarities between the one or more segments of the plurality of assets for the respective time-scale; computing an isolation metric for each of the generated graphs for at least one of the plurality of assets; aggregating the computed isolation metrics for the at least one asset; and determining whether the at least one asset is anomalous, based at least in part on a comparison of the aggregated isolation metric to a threshold.

Abstract: Aspects of the invention include receiving a new problem record. A corpus of existing problem records that were previously assigned to problem record owners and grouped into documents based on their assigned problem record owners is accessed. Each document in the corpus has an assigned problem record owner. A document in the corpus that is most similar to the new problem record is identified. The identifying includes comparing text in the new problem record to text in the documents. The new problem record is assigned to the problem record owner that is assigned to the identified document.

Abstract: The method can include receiving the first stream of tuples to be processed by the stream operator hosted by one or more computer processors, the stream operator having at least one input port and a condition input port. The method can also include receiving, at runtime, a customized condition at the condition input port of the stream operator. The method can also include monitoring a first group of one or more tuples from the first stream of tuples at a first window of the stream operator. The method can also include determining whether the first group of one or more tuples at the first window fulfills the customized condition. The method can also include deleting, in response to the first group of one or more tuples fulfilling the customized condition, the first group of one or more tuples.

One or more groups of content recommendations associated with the at least one scenario can be determined. Each group of content recommendations can include a set of content items that relate to the at least one scenario. The one or more groups of content recommendations can be provided to the user as recommendations.

The method may also include determining a portion of the first file to be moved. The method may also include reviewing the delta information of the first file for changes to the portion in the delta information. The method may also include, in response to reviewing the delta information, generating a portion delta history for the portion. The method may also include inserting the portion in a position in a second file, where the portion is inserted with the portion delta history. The method may also include generating new delta information for the second file, where the new delta information includes the portion delta history of the inserted portion.

Abstract: Provided is a method for managing source identifiers of clustered records, which may include receiving a plurality of records, each having identification data associated with a source thereof. The records may be sorted into a first plurality of clusters. A first source identifier may be generated for each cluster. Update data associated with an update to the records may be received. At least some of the records may be sorted into a second plurality of clusters. A first cluster of the second plurality of clusters may have first identification data different from at least one cluster of the first plurality of clusters, and a second cluster of the second plurality of clusters may have identification data that substantially matches the at least one cluster. Whether to assign the first source identifier to the first or second cluster may be determined. A system and computer program product are also disclosed.

In one embodiment, an apparatus may include a processor and a memory storing instructions which when executed by the processor cause the processor to access an ingested document, generate a converted document from the ingested document based on a conversion configuration, the converted document comprising at least one paragraph, and generate an index based on the converted document and an index configuration. Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to systems, methods, and apparatuses for using public information available from a variety of databases and Internet-based resources to obtain and group information to determine related chemical structures, undertake three-dimensional landscape analyses to access those related chemical structures and obtain other information about them including but not limited to patent data, patent family structures, litigation-related information, regulatory and marketing approval information, and other types of information that helps a user understand the medical, technical, and legal landscape associated with certain chemical structures of interest as well as related chemical structures. In addition, the embodiments provide a novel navigation paradigm of search results and content items so that the user can more intuitively and more efficiently get and manipulate information relating to chemical structures that are grouped based on their chemical similarities.

Abstract: A method and a system for generating an object card are disclosed. The method comprises receiving a request for a digital news article; retrieving the digital news article; and identifying an object contained therein. A set of object features associated with the object is determined, and a score value for the object is generated. The score value is representative of a likelihood of the user executing a web search to locate additional information in respect to the object. In response to the score value being above a predetermined threshold, an object card is generated. The object card and the digital news article are then transmitted to the electronic device for display.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for generating contextually, grammatically, and conversationally correct answers to input questions. Embodiments provide for linguistic and syntactic structure analysis of a submitted question in order to determine whether the submitted question may be answered by at least one headnote. The question is then further analyzed to determine more details about the intent and context of the question. A federated search process, based on the linguistic and syntactic structure analysis, and the additional analysis of the question is used to identify candidate question-answer pairs from a corpus of previously created headnotes. Machine learning models are used to analyze the candidate question-answer pairs, additional rules are applied to rank the candidate answers, and dynamic thresholds are applied to identify the best potential answers to provide to a user as a response to the submitted question.

Abstract: Various embodiments provide for selecting a subset of features to use to train a model for search applications. To select a feature, the candidate features are randomly assigned into two groups. Each of the two groups represents a summation of the respective features that were assigned to it. Then a decision tree building scan is performed on the two groups to determine which of the two groups performs better based a selection criteria. Upon determining which of the two groups is better, the candidate features of the winning group are again randomly assigned into two groups. These two groups are again scanned as described above to determine a winning group. This binary splitting and scanning pattern is continuously performed until the winning group contains one remaining feature. That remaining feature is then designated as a selected feature to be used in the search model.

Abstract: A system and method for collecting data may include a data collection device to obtain the data from a user, an apparatus for obtaining metadata for each word of the data from the user, an apparatus for obtaining a searchable transcript of the data and a device to store the searchable transcript. The metadata may be date data, time data, name data or location data and the data collection device may include a speech recognition engine to translate speech into searchable words. The speech recognition engine may provide a confidence level corresponding to the translation of the speech into searchable words, and the speech recognition engine may distinguish a first user and a second user in order to provide a first searchable transcript for the first user and a second searchable transcript for the second user. An ad transcript may be added to the searchable transcript, and the searchable transcript may be placed in a centralized community search database.

Abstract: In one embodiment, the invention can be a method for assessing unstructured comments, the method including providing reference data generated from a first set of unstructured comments from a first group; receiving a second set of unstructured comments from a second group; identifying a significant word within each unstructured comment of the second set of unstructured comments; for each significant word identified within the second set of unstructured comments, determining a frequency of occurrence of the significant word; and generating a visualization including a portion of the identified significant words, wherein for each visualized significant word, a first aspect of an appearance of the significant word is based on an extent to which the frequency of occurrence deviates from a frequency of occurrence of the significant word in the first set of unstructured comments.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for sharing a physical location with online users by requiring the online users to be in physical proximity of a specific physical location before the users can experience media content associated with the physical location. A user can mark a physical location when that user is at the location by associating a virtual anchor with that location. The virtual anchor creates a data structure that contains the location's geographic coordinates as well as other details regarding the anchor. The user can also associate media content with the virtual anchor. The virtual anchor can be shared with other users and these other users are notified of the presence of the virtual anchor when they are within a physical proximity from the physical location. Only when the other users are at the location can these users access the media content associated with the virtual anchor.

Abstract: Various methods, systems, and processes for mitigating fragmentation in synthetic full backups are disclosed. One or more storage units out of multiple storage units are identified. The multiple storage units include one or more new storage units or one or more existing storage units. The multiple storage units are accessed and a determination is made as to whether the one or more storage units out of the multiple storage units meet a threshold. The threshold is a measure of a characteristic of those one or more storage units. If one or more storage units meet the threshold, those one or more storage units are included in a backup stream, and the backup stream is sent to a backup server.

The knowledge model defines a plurality of entities and interrelationships between one or more of the plurality of entities. The plurality of entities include concepts and instances. The template is transmitted to a client computer, and a statement is received from the client computer. The statement includes an instantiation of the template. A knowledge base is queried using the statement to generate a result listing identifying an item in the knowledge base. The knowledge base identifies a plurality of items. Each of the plurality of items is associated with at least one annotation identifying at one of the entities in the knowledge model.
