  • Patent number: 8205418
Abstract: A device (10) for thermally treating packaged goods by means of a hot air or gas stream (28), particularly for the shrink treatment of film-wrapped goods, such as packs or the like, is disclosed. The device includes a hot gas generator (12) having a gas burner (14) whose combustion products (16) pass into a mixing device (18) via at least one supply opening (38). The mixing device (18) is formed by a channel portion (20) arranged between a conduit portion (22) formed as an inflow area (23) and an outflow area (25), wherein the mixing device (18) comprises at least one opening (32) for supplying the combustion products (16) and for mixing them with the gas stream (26) of the channel portion (20).

  • Patent number: 8186453
Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide an effective technique for reducing adverse effect of a dust suction device on the operability of a power tool, in the power tool which can suck dust generated during operation. The power tool has a motor 111 and a tool body 103 that houses the motor 111. A tool bit 119 is coupled to a tip end region of the tool body and driven by the motor 111 to perform a predetermined operation. The power tool further includes a dust suction part 151 through which dust generated during operation by the tool bit 119 is sucked and which covers at least a tip end of the tool bit 119, a dust transfer passage 153 through which the dust sucked into the dust suction part 151 is transferred and which is partly disposed within the tool body 103, and a dust discharge port 174 through which the dust transferred through the dust transfer passage 153 is discharged to the outside. Further, the dust discharge port 174 is disposed on the opposite side of the motor 111 from the tool bit 119.

  • Patent number: 8132394
Abstract: A bag manufacturing and packaging apparatus manufactures a bag by sealing a packaging material formed in a tubular shape and at the same time fills the bag with articles to be packaged. The bag manufacturing and packaging apparatus includes a conveyance mechanism, a squeezing mechanism and a conveyance adjusting unit. The conveyance mechanism is configured and arranged to convey the packaging material in a conveying direction. The squeezing mechanism includes a squeezing unit configured and arranged to sandwich the packaging material and to perform a squeezing motion so as to move the articles to be packaged to the downstream side in the conveying direction. The conveyance adjusting unit configured and arranged to move the packaging material towards the upstream side in the conveying direction during the squeezing motion of the squeezing unit.

  • Patent number: 8052022
Abstract: A stapler selectively uses enhanced leverage to break a glue bond of a staple to separate the staple from a rack of staples in the stapler. The staple does not press a working surface during this operating stage. The extra leverage stage occurs through a minority of total handle travel, preferably via a pivoting lever linked to the striker at one end and the opposite end traversing between inner spaced apart ribs underneath the handle. A remaining non-leveraged handle travel stage ejects a staple out from the stapler body against a working surface. A track supports staples from an underside of the top of the staples. The track includes an outward extending bottom support for at least one staple on the track to prevent rotation of a short rack of staples.

  • Patent number: 8047976
Abstract: An item handling system includes a vacuum source, a transport element defining a plurality of vacuum openings in fluid communication with the vacuum source to create a securing force on an item proximate to the transport element for holding the item in contact with the transport element, and a drive element for driving the transport element to transport the item. The transport element further defines a plurality of sensor openings arranged in two substantially parallel arrays along a longitudinal direction of the transport element. The system further includes a sensor associated with each array of sensor openings for sensing energy passing through the sensor openings to thereby sense the item on the transport element. Each sensor is disposed at a common longitudinal position relative to the transport element. Sensing the item corresponds to a condition where the sensor associated with each array is blocked.

  • Patent number: 8011548
Abstract: A nail gun having a safe firing mechanism is composed of a main body, a nail-driving member, a safety member, and a linkage. The main body includes a nail passage for receiving nails and a nail chamber for receiving a nail ready to be fired by the nail-driving member. The nails include an initial nail, a final nail, and a plurality of standby nails located between the initial and final nails. The linkage includes a contact portion and a stopping end linking up with the contact portion. The contact portion is stopped against the standby nail. The stopping end is stopped against the safety member. When the contact portion is not stopped against the standby nail, the stopping end is located at where the safety member is stopped. When the contact portion is stopped against the standby nail, the stopping end shifts to where the safety member is not stopped.
