Abstract: A hanger designed for supporting pork bellies during handling and processing into slabs of bacon which is characterized by a generally rectangular base frame with a top bar and a bottom bar, and a series of generally L-shaped prong members attached to the base frame and defining a prong assembly extending laterally from the base frame. The prong members are attached to the bottom bar opposite the side of the prong assembly. The prong assembly includes a cross bar spaced from and generally parallel to the base frame that defines a space between the cross bar of the prong assembly and the base frame. The space is designed to receive the latch of a mechanical device for removal of the hanger from the pork belly.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an article (such as an insect control pouch) to dispense a volatile active (such as an insect control agent). The pouch is formed from a single layer polymeric non-absorbing film. The pouch traps the active until use of the pouch is desired. When the pouch is opened the walls of the pouch serve as a substrate from which the active can readily passively evaporate. Methods of forming such pouches using heat sealing techniques, and methods of using such pouches, are also disclosed.

Abstract: A plant packaging and covering system comprising a floral sleeve having a base and skirt. The sleeve may have an upper protective sleeve portion which can surround a plant disposed in a pot and which can be detached once the protective function of the sleeve has been completed thereby allowing the skirt portion to extend angularly from the base. The sleeve has a plurality of folds, some constricted by constriction means, the folds comprising expansion means for allowing portions of the base portion to expand, and portions of the skirt to extend angularly, when a pot is disposed within the sleeve.
