  • Patent number: 10966483
Abstract: A midsole for a shoe, in particular a running shoe, is described which midsole is asymmetric in a midfoot area, has an upper heel portion embracing the calcaneus of a wearer and has an upwardly extending toe end. In the midfoot area a vertical medial support structure originates from the midsole and supportively embraces the arch. Correspondingly, a vertical lateral support structure supports the lateral side of the foot in the midfoot area. The medial support structure covers a larger area than the lateral support structure, and is connected to the vertically extending upper heel portion of the midsole. The toe end of the midsole is extended upwardly, and provides in combination with the vertically extending upper heel portion and the vertically extending medial and lateral arch support structures a midsole which firmly embraces the foot. The resulting shoe reduces the risk of injury during running.

  • Patent number: 10849449
Abstract: A variable size marker or sizer for garment hangers is disclosed. A gear-shaped wheel with cogs has various size indicia on each cog, and is inserted into a hanger to display the correct size indicia. The hanger has tabs to retain the sizer in place by mating with slits in the sizer. For example, if a displayed garment is size ‘large’, the user chooses the cog with “L” facing upwardly, and inserts the sizer into the hanger through the bottom of the hanger until the hanger's tabs click into the sizer's slits corresponding with the “L”. The “L” is then visible at the top of the hanger. The hanger is made of resilient material to flex outwardly to allow the sizer to be inserted and removed, yet hold the sizer in place when the hanger is in use.

  • Patent number: 10743617
Abstract: Aspects hereof relate to a footwear upper formed from a plurality of tensile strands interwoven with a webbing material. The upper may have a bootie configuration. At least a portion of the strands may extend between a lateral-side portion of the upper and a medial-side portion of the upper and extend over an instep region and/or a sole region of the upper. The tensile strands may be bundled such that a plurality of strands forms a single weft or warp. Bundles having differing quantities of tensile strands may form a pattern on the upper that is effective for aiding conformance of the upper to a wearer's foot while enhancing ventilation and reducing water saturation. The tensile strands, whether singular or bundled, may be effective for transferring a load of a fastening mechanism through the woven upper while allowing the upper to have a desired degree of elasticity, support and/or comfort.
