  • Patent number: 12188718
Abstract: A method and controller compensates control variables of a continuous process prior to the control variables being input to the controller/control matrix to at least partially mask the effect of a selected disturbance or a manipulated variable on that controlled variable to the controller. The controlled variable(s) has been chosen to be an inference of a desired underlying or related variable which is not directly measurable. The selected disturbance to be masked is one which does affect the (measured) controlled variable, but not the underlying desired variable. By at least partially masking the effect to all intents and purposes the controller is unaware of the effect of the selected disturbance on the controlled variable and therefore, for a fully masked disturbance, does not make any adjustment to a manipulated variable associated with the selected disturbance which would unnecessarily alter the underlying desired variable.

  • Patent number: 12171084
Abstract: Thermal energy from a two-phase immersion-cooling system containing a computer system is operably coupled with a vapor-phase compressor, heat exchanger, pressure regulator, and controller, to provide thermal energy at an elevated temperature to drive a commercial process. The immersion-cooling system can advantageously be used to cool computer systems, Bitcoin miners, crypto miners or other thermal energy producing devices. The system operates by extracting vapor of the working fluid from the headspace of the immersion-cooling system, increasing the pressure and temperature of the extracted vapor by substantially isentropic compression, and then passing the high-pressure and high-temperature vapor to a heat exchanger, thereby providing thermal energy to the commercial process through heat transfer. Vapor from the heat exchanger is then cooled to a liquid phase, reduced in pressure, and returned to the tank of the immersion-cooling system.

  • Patent number: 12158283
Abstract: A three-pipe, multi-split system and a control method thereof. The three-pipe multi-split system includes an outdoor unit, a multi-split indoor unit, and a hydraulic module. By optimizing a refrigerant system, the phenomenon that a refrigerant is throttled before flowing through a refrigerant heat dissipation module or supercooled when passing through a plate heat exchanger which causes a relatively low temperature of the refrigerant entering the refrigerant heat dissipation module and consequent condensation on the refrigerant heat dissipation module to produce condensate water and then causes a damage to a compressor frequency conversion module can be avoided. In addition, more refrigerant is caused to flow through the refrigerant heat dissipation module to reduce the temperature of the module.
