  • Patent number: 11042826
Abstract: A method and system for viral identification of evacuees are provided. The method is recursive and involves bringing an emergency warden and a midstream evacuee in close proximity with one another to enable a handheld computing device belonging to one of the two to read information from the other, enabling the handheld computing device to read the information, having the handheld computing device read the information to enable an identification of the midstream evacuee, providing the identifier of the midstream evacuee to a central mustering server, whereby the midstream evacuee is enabled to act as an emergency warden, and performing the method with the midstream evacuee acting as an emergency warden with respect to another evacuee before the central mustering server. The method provides the advantage of virally identifying evacuees within the confines of a muster point in an efficient and reliable manner.

  • Patent number: 10991233
Abstract: Techniques are described for detecting and handling unauthenticated commands in a property monitoring system. In some implementations, a monitoring system may include sensors located throughout a property, a monitoring control unit, and an input device. The monitoring control unit may be configured to receive data collected by the sensors, as well as an input command detected by the input device. For an input command that does not include authentication information, the monitoring control unit may generate property state information based on the sensor data, then analyze the property state data and the input command against one or more rules that relate to authorization of unauthenticated commands. Based on the analysis, the monitoring control unit may determine whether to perform the action corresponding to the input command or whether to perform another action, for example, generating and providing a notification or authorization request to a user.

Abstract: This disclosure describes methods and apparatus for hygiene monitoring in chain restaurants and grocery superstores. Four sub-systems are introduced to take care of different aspects of hygiene in restaurants. One sub-system uses contactless and in-contact temperature sensors installed on appliances to constantly monitor the temperature of working appliances to be in pre-defined range and use an Internet of Things gateways to transmit the data to remote control unit. The system generate an alert or report if the temperature of the appliances falls beyond the predefined range for more than a specific period of time. Another sub-system use a combination of temperature, humidity, UV and gas detectors to monitor the environment to be unsuitable for growth of fungus and bacteria and alert in case of exposure to harmful material and sun radiation. This sub-system also use an Internet of Things gateways to transmit the data to remote control unit.
