Abstract: According to certain aspects, a method can include receiving, in response to an indication that a data storage database is being restored to a second time before a first time such that the data storage database comprises a plurality of first archive file identifiers associated at the second time, a first instruction from a data storage computer, where the first instruction instructs a media agent to stop scheduled secondary storage operations associated with a deduplication database, and where the deduplication database comprises a plurality of second archive file identifiers; determining at least one second archive file identifier in the plurality of second archive file identifiers that does not correlate with any first archive identifier in the plurality of first archive file identifiers; and, for each of the at least one second archive identifier, instructing the deduplication database to prune an entry associated with the respective second archive file identifier.

Abstract: A system, method and computer product for managing distributed transactions of a database. A transaction manager is provided for each of a plurality of transactions of the database. Each transaction manager is configured to perform functions that include generating a transaction token that specifies data to be visible for a transaction on the database. The database contains both row and column storage engines, and the transaction token includes a transaction identifier (TID) for identifying committed transactions and uncommitted transactions. A last computed transaction is designated with a computed identifier (CID), record-level locking of records of the database is performed using the TID and CID to execute the transaction, and the plurality of transactions of the database are executed with each transaction manager.

Abstract: Various embodiments relate generally to a system, a device and a method for expression-based retrieval of expressive media content. A request may be received to search for content items in a media content management system. Media content items may be procured from different content sources through application programming interfaces, user devices, and/or web servers. Media content items may be analyzed to determine one or more metadata attributes, including an expressions. Metadata attributes may be stored as one or more content associations. The media content items may be stored and categorized based on the content associations. A search router rules engine may determine search intent based on the search query, which may include a pictorial representation of an expression, such as an emoji. A dynamic interface may be integrated in a device operating system through various access points, including a button, a trigger key, a keyword trigger, and an overlay button.

Abstract: An illustrative data storage management system relies on a specially configured proxy server to operate software containers on a proxy server, maintain resources needed by the software containers, and interwork with other system components. Illustratively, a catalog service on the proxy server maintains a software cache according to maintenance rules and also maintains an associated cache catalog. The software containers are generally managed and operated by an illustrative container manager also hosted by the proxy server. The illustrative software cache comprises contents needed by the software containers, such as pre-configured container templates, DBMS software components, lightervisors representing target operating systems, and storage management software for performing test and storage operations. The maintenance rules govern when cache contents should be purged and moved into offline archive copies.

Abstract: Provided are methods, systems, and apparatuses for automatically allocating physical units of a physical space. In example embodiments, an allocation request is received from a first computing device. The allocation request includes a physical space identifier, a physical unit quantity, and a physical unit arrangement type. A plurality of possible physical unit allocation subsets matching the allocation request are retrieved from a physical space repository and based on a physical unit allocation regulation associated with the physical space identifier. A physical unit allocation interface including one or more of the possible physical unit allocation subsets is transmitted to the first computing device. Available physical units associated with the physical space identifier are transformed in the physical space repository to unavailable physical units.

Abstract: In an example, a flexible schema table may be schematized. Records from the flexible schema table may be queried and, for keys in the records, a data type is estimated for each key. View columns may then be selected from the keys based on a predetermined condition. Abstract: A method and system for creating an index of content without interfering with the source of the content includes an offline content indexing system that creates an index of content from an offline copy of data. The system may associate additional properties or tags with data that are not part of traditional indexing of content, such as the time the content was last available or user attributes associated with the content. Users can search the created index to locate content that is no longer available or based on the associate attributes.

Abstract: Described are techniques for maintaining the accuracy of a precomputed output by determining sets of instructions for accessing and extracting values from individual data sources used to determine the output. Responsive to the determination of a modification to data in the data source, the data sources may be accessed to determine values that may be used to modify the precomputed output. The sets of instructions for accessing the data sources may be determined based on the relationships between different data sources and between one or more data sources and the output.

Abstract: An online analytical processing system may comprise an n-dimensional cube partitioned into slices, in which each slice may represent data points at the intersections of fixed and variable dimensions. Computation of data points within a slice may be deferred. A dependency graph may be initially constructed, in which the dependency graph is utilized in a subsequent computation. Calculation of data points may be prioritized based on information indicative of a chance that the data points will be accessed.

Abstract: A method of retrieving data from a Health Level 7 (HL7) clinical data from one or more modalities for transferring to a dictation system is disclosed. The method includes receiving HL7 clinical data having one or more multi-segment fields from a modality that generates the HL7 clinical data; accessing a formatting template for use in normalizing the parsed HL7 clinical data, the formatting template including a retrieval setting that specifies a type of the one or more multi-segment fields from which to retrieve the one or more values; retrieving the values from the fields of the one or more multi-segment fields based on the retrieval setting as specified in the formatting template; normalizing the retrieved values using format settings set in the formatting template; and sending the normalized values to the dictation system for use in generating a report by the dictation system.

Abstract: A system that evaluates Boolean expressions receives a first set of Boolean expressions that include one or more Boolean expressions, and receives a second set of Boolean expressions that includes one or more Boolean expressions. The system determines one or more overlapping Boolean expressions between the first set and the second set. Each Boolean expression has a corresponding identifier and priority, and two or more Boolean expressions overlap when the Boolean expressions have an identical identifier. Each set of Boolean expressions includes a corresponding index.

Abstract: A system has data capture devices collecting data from different points in a network. The captured data is written to a data store and is directed to an output. The data from the different data capture devices can be delivered to a data analytics device. As long as the data analytics device is able to keep pace with the data that is directed to the output, that data is used by the analytics device. If the analytics device is not able to keep pace, the data written to the data store is retrieved and is used until the analytics device has caught up.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, system, and computer program product for cost effective data storage. A computer stores and arranges data in data storage resources in compressed or uncompressed arrangements. The computer determines what percentage of data is stored per tier for an uncompressed arrangement of data. The computer further determines both a compression factor as well as the percentage of data stored per tier for data stored in the compressed arrangement. The computer accesses data defining the cost per tier of both the compressed and uncompressed arrangement of data, then calculates the cost of both a compressed and uncompressed arrangement of the data. The computer then moves the data to the less expensive of the compressed or uncompressed arrangement of the data.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a system for configuring, designing, and/or implementing database tables are detailed that provides a framework into which a remainder of database tables is developed. Also detailed is a method to develop this framework of database tables. This so developed framework provides a platform for converting multiple independent heterogeneous databases into standardized homogeneous databases.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media are described herein for processing a query on a parent table and associated child tables to provide efficient search engine functionality. Search grams are determined based on the query and parent records and child records are scanned for the search grams. Gram scores are computed based on a degree of matching between the parent and child records and the search grams.

Abstract: The disclosure generally describes computer-implemented methods, software, and systems, including a method for querying extension point information and providing extension patterns for core process models. Information for a core process model user interface is provided to a client device for displaying a core process model as a visualization including core process model steps and dedicated extension points for inserting user-defined extensions. The information is provided by a server from a core process model meta-model. Selections of the extension points and customization of extensions associated with the extension points are received from a client device. A core process model instance including the core process model and customizations of the extensions is stored. Information is provided for use at the client device for presenting a process extension query interface. A query is received from the client device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for improved time series databases and time series operations. A time series service responds to requests from external devices. The external devices request time series data and submit time series queries. The time series service generates planned and efficient time series queries from the initial queries. The time series service performs operations such as unit conversion, interpolation, and performing operations on time series data. The time series service can identify which time series database to query from and/or cause data to be populated into a time series database from a data pipeline system.
