  • Patent number: 11790875
Abstract: A system is provided for editing an audio file. The system displays, on an electronic device, a piano roll. The system receives a user input to cut a segment of the piano roll. The segment of the piano roll includes a respective tone that extends across both sides of the segment of the piano roll, such that the respective tone includes: a first portion of the respective tone that precedes the segment of the piano roll; and a second portion of the respective tone that follows the segment of the piano roll. In response to the user input to cut the segment of the piano roll, the system cuts the segment from the piano roll and, without user intervention, concatenate the first portion of the respective tone with the second portion of the respective tone.

  • Patent number: 11782672
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to a method and system for receiving, in a bitstream, metadata associated with the audio data, and analyzing the metadata to determine whether a loudness parameter for a first group of audio playback devices are available in the bitstream. Responsive to determining that the parameters are present for the first group, the system uses the parameters and audio data to render audio. Responsive to determining that the loudness parameters are not present for the first group, the system analyzes one or more characteristics of the first group, and determines the parameter based on the one or more characteristics.

  • Patent number: 11768655
Abstract: Example techniques related to a sub-index of a media index. An example implementation may involve maintaining, on a mobile device, a first index of audio tracks associated with a particular user profile, the audio tracks indexed in the first index consisting of a particular subset of audio tracks that are indexed in a second index. Based on the receiving the input data indicating the search query, the mobile device searches, within the first index, for audio tracks corresponding to the search query. If the audio tracks corresponding to the search query are not found in the first index, the mobile device sends to one or more servers of the cloud service, a request to search the second index for audio tracks corresponding to the search query.

Abstract: Systems and processes for operating an intelligent automated assistant are provided. In one example, a user request for a media item is received. Based on the user request, at least one media item and a description of the at least one media item are identified. A confidence level is obtained that an identified media item of the at least one media item corresponds to the requested media item. In accordance with a determination that the confidence level exceeds a first confidence threshold, a length of the identified description is reduced to obtain a modified description and the modified description of the identified media item is provided in a first spoken response.

  • Patent number: 11698769
Abstract: Example techniques relate to playback queue subscriptions. An example implementation involves a computing system receiving, from a first computing device associated with a first user account, an instruction to enable subscription to a first playback queue associated with a first media playback system. In response to the instruction, the computing system enables second user accounts to subscribe to the first playback queue. The second user accounts are registered with respective second media playback systems in respective second household. The computing system receives, from a particular second media playback system, a request to subscribe to the first playback queue; and in response, sends one or more messages that update a control interface of the first control device to display a subscriber indication and (ii) sends one or more messages that populate a second playback queue of the particular second media playback system with audio tracks of the first playback queue.

  • Patent number: 11662973
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for audio session management for workspaces operating on an Information Handling System (IHS), where the workspaces utilize virtualization to operate in isolation from a portion of the hardware and software of the IHS. Audio capabilities of the IHS are registered with a remote workspace orchestration service that manages deployment of workspaces on the IHS. A workspace is instantiated on the IHS according to a workspace definition provided by the orchestration service that also provides a handle for operating the audio capabilities of the IHS on behalf of the first workspace. An audio context is determined based on utilization of the workspaces operating on the IHS. The handle is utilized for modifying audio settings of the first workspace based on the audio context. The handle is also utilized for operating the audio capabilities of the IHS based on user inputs to the plurality of workspaces.

  • Patent number: 11645037
Abstract: An orchestrator associated with a collaboration application client executed by a near end device dynamically adapts volume level and/or other audio quality parameters to deliver a consistent voice experience to a collaboration participant. The orchestrator is informed by multiple machine learning engines collecting and analyzing inputs from one or more existing sensor-based functions embedded in the near end device. The orchestrator determine an audio configuration of the device and audio preferences of the user. Identities of far end participants are determined and their profiles are mapped against the user volume preferences. The orchestrator functions as an informing agent to the audio signal processing engine of the device, managing speaker output volume and microphone gain settings, based upon the machine learning engines and the sensor-based functions. The sensor based functions may detect proximity, head pose, gaze point, eye position, facial identities, mood, and so forth.

  • Patent number: 11635936
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to implementing audio techniques for real-time audio generation. For example, a music generator system may generate new music content from playback music content based on different parameter representations of an audio signal. In some cases, an audio signal can be represented by both a graph of the signal (e.g., an audio signal graph) relative to time and a graph of the signal relative to beats (e.g., a signal graph). The signal graph is invariant to tempo, which allows for tempo invariant modification of audio parameters of the music content in addition to tempo variant modifications based on the audio signal graph.
