Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for finding differences in nearly-identical audio recordings. A first version of an audio recording may be received. A second version of the audio recording may be received. A difference between the first version of the audio recording and the second version of the audio recording may be determined using time domain analysis and frequency domain analysis. The difference may be stored in a difference set. The difference set may allow the first version of the audio recording to be distinguished from the second version of the audio recording. The audio recording may be a music track. The first version of the audio recording may be an explicit version of the music track. The second version of the audio recording may be an edited version of the music track.

  • Patent number: 9525552
Abstract: An audio device and method for adding a watermark data to digital signals which represent audio generates a digital signature by applying a hash calculation on the hardware address of the audio device. The audio device searches for an orthogonal code in a walsh matrix. The audio device decodes audio digital signals according to the orthogonal code to output decoded data. The audio device loads the orthogonal code into an identification information of the audio device to form the watermark data in accordance with a determination that the decoded value is not equal to one of a plurality of specific values, wherein the identification information includes the hardware address of the audio device. The audio device adds the watermark data into audio digital signals.

  • Patent number: 9524338
Abstract: Methods and systems described herein relate to management of media playback based on media preferences. A computing device may receive data indicating that a media item is available to be played by a media playback system. A media preference associated with the media item may then be identified based on the received data. The media preference may be identified in a preference database. Based on the media preference, the computing device determines whether the media item is or is not to be played by the media playback system. If a determination is made that the media item is not to be played, the computing device sends to the media playback system, an indication that the media item is not to be played. If a determination is made that the media item is to be played, the computing device causes the media item to be played by the media playback system.

  • Patent number: 9521249
Abstract: An echo path change detector may be used to control the rate of adaptation in an acoustic echo canceller. When echo path change is declared, the rate of adaptation may be increased. However, echo path change should not be declared in the presence of double talk, because rapid adaptation during double talk is undesirable. Accordingly, various features are disclosed for detecting echo path changes while avoiding the declaration of such changes in the presence of double talk.

  • Patent number: 9503569
Abstract: Methods and devices for enabling and disabling the updating of an adaptive filter for echo cancellation of a communication device are disclosed. An echo canceller may include an adaptive filter enabled to update responsive to a determination that a first condition is satisfied that there is no double talk detected on the communication device, and a determination that a second condition is satisfied based, at least in part, on a performance characteristic. The adaptive filter may be disabled from updating responsive to at least one of the first condition and the second condition not being satisfied. Described is disabling the adaptive filter from updating responsive to detecting a performance characteristic of the adaptive filter to fail to meet a condition indicating that the adaptive filter is diverging. The condition to be met may be independent of whether double-talk is determined to be present on the communication device.
