    Abstract: An image forming apparatus which does not reserve a print job when a user is supposedly close to the image forming apparatus so that convenience for the user can be improved. Data that is to be sent to an external apparatus and includes identification information is generated and written in a near-field wireless communication unit which the image forming apparatus has. When the image forming apparatus receives a print request, it is judged whether or not the identification information is included in the print request. When it is judged that the identification information is not included in the print request, the image forming apparatus is controlled to carry out a printing process without reserving a print job corresponding to the print request.
