  • Patent number: 9975269
Abstract: A power table saw has a saw blade driven by a motor with power selectively supplied to the motor by actuation of a switch. A riving knife is selectively positioned in an extended position and a retracted position relative to the blade. A blade guard is removably mounted to the riving knife above the blade. A sensible element on the riving knife can be detected by a first sensor when the riving knife is retracted, the first sensor has a non-null state when the sensible element is adjacent the first sensor and a null state otherwise. A second sensor has a null state when the blade guard is detected and a non-null state otherwise. • Patent number: 9862634
Abstract: Process for removing peripheral portions such as bead regions of a glass sheet including a step of pushing the glass sheet in the peripheral portion using a pushing mechanism such as a pushing bar, and corresponding apparatus. As a result of the use of the pushing mechanism, the engagement completion time for suction cups, if used, are reduced significantly. A process without using suction cups is enabled with enhanced yield. The increased process stability and enlarged process window are particularly advantageous for processing glass sheets having high flexibility.

  • Patent number: 9737940
Abstract: In a circular cutting machine, a main vice unit includes a stationary rear vice and a front vice disposed to be movable back and forth in a range between a position forward of a preset cutting position and a rearmost position where the rear ends of jaws come into contact with the front ends of jaws of the rear vice. The rear and front vices include clamping cylinders that are independently controllable so as to independently clamp and unclamp their respective vices. When photoelectric sensors detect the rear end of work, the remaining length is calculated, which is then divided by the fixed-length feed amount to calculate a remaining number of possible cutting operations. The remaining number of such operations are carried out by using either a combination of the front vice and a transfer vice unit or the front vice alone to pull out the work.
