Abstract: The present invention relates to the encoding and decoding of image information. Abstract: Example image reprojection methods are disclosed. In one example, a depth buffer of depth values corresponding to an image produced based on a predicted pose is divided into a plurality of tiles. For each tile of the plurality of tiles, a planar deviation error value that estimates a geometric complexity of the tile and penalizes the tile in proportion to an extent to which a geometry of the tile deviates from a plane is calculated. A tessellated mesh of the plurality of tiles is produced based on the planar deviation error values calculated for the plurality of tiles. An updated pose is received. The tessellated mesh is rendered based on the updated pose to output a reprojected image.

In some examples, an apparatus for video decoding includes receiving circuitry and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry decodes prediction information of a current block from a coded video bitstream. The prediction information is indicative of an affine prediction for the current block. Then processing circuitry determines an application of an interweaved affine prediction when the current block being within a larger region than the current block. The larger region has a flag that is indicative of enabling an interweaved affine prediction in the larger region. Then, the processing circuitry reconstructs samples of the current block according to the interweaved affine prediction.

Abstract: Method and device for encoding a point cloud that represents a three-dimensional (3D) object. One or more groups of temporally successive pictures are obtained. Each picture of the one or more groups comprises a first set of images, the images being spatially arranged in a same manner in each picture of the one or more groups. A second set of projections is associated with the one or more groups, a unique projection being associated with each image in such a way that a same projection is associated with only one single image and all projections are associated with the images. A first information representative of the projections is encoded. The point cloud may then be encoded according to the obtained pictures. A corresponding method and device for decoding a bitstream that comprises data representative of the encoded picture(s) are also described.

The method includes parsing a picture file, to obtain a picture header information data segment, first stream data, and second stream data of a first image thereof. The first stream data of the first image is decoded to generate red-green-blue (RGB) data of the first image. Abstract: Techniques are described for synchronizing internet (“over the top”) video streams for simultaneous playback. In particular, techniques are described to improve the performance and accuracy of stream synchronization among participant media player applications playing a same video content item, for example, as part of a “watch party.” The techniques can be further augmented to allow interaction between the users watching the presentation, e.g., by sending messages to other users or by annotating the video presentation with comments, and can be further used to enable “cross device control,” a feature that enables multiple users, or a single user with multiple devices, to control a shared video playback session on another device. For example, two users watching a streaming video on a set-top box connected to a TV in their living room could each use an app on their respective smart phones to pause/play/seek the playback session, providing a more collaborative experience.

Abstract: A method and apparatus of video coding using adaptive Inter prediction are disclosed. A selected Inter prediction process is determined, wherein the selected Inter prediction process selects an Inter prediction filter from multiple Inter prediction filters for the current block depending on first pixel data comprising neighbouring reconstructed pixels (NRP) of the current block. The selected Inter prediction process may be further determined depending on extra motion compensated pixels (EMCP) around a motion-compensated reference block corresponding to the current block. Distortion between the NRP and EMCP can be used to determine the selected Inter prediction filter. The distortion can be calculated using a sum of absolute differences or squared differences between the NRP and the EMCP.

The systems and methods evaluate at least one item of the plurality of items placed inside the locker for digitized metrics to determine a valuation for the items in the safe locker. The systems and methods provide a portal for the locker such that an owner of the locker has exclusive access to the plurality of items and the digitized metrics.
