    Abstract: Short bursts of an atomized liquid, such as an air freshener, medication or insecticide, are emitted at desired intervals from a spray nozzle in communication with a conventional aerosol can containing the fluid under pressure. Interposed in the flow is a normally closed piston valve opened by electromagnetic means, the period between bursts and the burst duration being determined by RC (resistor-capacitor) circuitry.
