Abstract: A machine washable and dryable yoga mat with an upper layer comprising a towel material, a central layer comprising a layer of fusible foam material fused to the upper layer, and a lower layer comprising a polymer-coated fabric. The upper, central, and lower layers are stitched together to form a rectangular yoga mat body. The upper layer has a width greater than the widths of the central and lower layers such that border strips of the upper layer can be wrapped around the lateral edges of the central and lower layers and fastened. The layers are joined by side stitching that traverses longitudinally adjacent to the lateral edges of the yoga mat body, by end stitching that traverses laterally across the yoga mat body adjacent to the first and second ends thereof, and by a plurality of spaced lines of lateral stitching that traverse laterally across the yoga mat body.

  • Patent number: 11859384
Abstract: A wall panel that has a reflective barrier of an aluminized biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate (BPET) between an OSB panel, and an industrial grade paper (which is pressed to look like natural wood grain). The aluminized BPET can be integrated into the industrial paper to become one sheet. This wall panel could be applied to interior paneling, drywall or gypsum board, as desired. Another option is to sandwich the aluminized BPET between the industrial paper and the reflective barrier, a layer of self-sealing asphalt. This makes the wall panel waterproof and airtight and helps to keep intact the engineered wood integrity. The aluminized BPET could go between a layer of insulation or particle board and its laminate. The panel's BPET should have a flap of an inch or so on one side to help with air sealing. This creates a barrier between varying temperatures, and adds an R value, and helps keep a building cool.

  • Patent number: 11788175
Abstract: Carbon fiber reinforced steel matrix composites have carbon fiber impregnated in the steel matrix and chemically bonded to the steel. Chemical bonding is shown by the presence of a unique amorphous carbon layer at the carbon fiber/steel interface, and by canting of steel crystal edges adjacent to the interface. Methods for forming carbon fiber reinforce steel composites include sintering steel nanoparticles around a reinforcing carbon fiber structure, thereby chemically bonding a sintered steel matrix to the carbon fiber. This unique bonding likely contributes to enhanced strength of the composite, in comparison to metal matrix composites formed by other methods.

  • Patent number: 11781272
Abstract: An underlayment layer is configured to support an artificial turf assembly. The underlayment layer comprises plurality of panels, each panel comprising a core with a top side and a bottom side. The top side has a plurality of top projections. The top projections form top side water drainage channels. The panels have edges, with the edges of one panel abutting the edges of adjacent panels, thereby forming a drainage path between adjacent panels. The panel edges have vertical support extensions that extend into the drainage paths between adjacent panels. The vertical support extensions have an upper surface for supporting an artificial turf assembly overlying the turf underlayment layer, and the panel edges having one or more complementary indentations corresponding to vertical support extensions of adjacent panels. When the panels move toward each other, thereby closing drainage paths between adjacent panels, the vertical support extensions are received in the corresponding indentations.
