Abstract: In one particular example, a data communications system addresses changes in server load and/or connection latency in connection with data communication services provided through DNS master and slave servers. The system provides dynamic information routing, via a set of DNS master servers being in a multi-master configuration and including a first master DNS server and a second master DNS server, and consistency of DNS records is established between the master servers. Subsequently, the first DNS master server enters into an isolation mode in which updates are not communicated via the network. A set of isolation rules, which indicate how DNS records are to be updated in a communications network, are accessed and used in response to the network connections becoming reliable and the first master server updates the DNS records according to the rules, thereby establishing consistency between the first and the second DNS master servers.

Abstract: A physical networking/virtual infrastructure management integration system includes a physical networking infrastructure management system providing physical networking infrastructure management subsystems, a virtual infrastructure management system providing virtual infrastructure management subsystems, and a network integration system. The network integration system identifies at least one affiliation between service endpoints provided by the physical networking infrastructure management subsystems and the virtual infrastructure management subsystems, and generates an affiliation graph that identifies each of the service endpoints and each affiliation between pairs of the service endpoints.

The virtualized hardware switchover operations may be used to selectively and temporarily provide virtualized control-plane operations to the data-plane of a non-redundant network device undergoing an upgrade or a reboot of its control plane. A non-redundant network device may operate hitless, or near hitless, operation even when its control plane is unavailable.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for reducing service disruption times in a network functions virtualization, NFV, network infrastructure includes at least one universal customer premise equipment, uCPE, having hardware resources used for running virtual network functions, VNFs, on virtual machines, VMs. In response to a request for substituting an implemented virtual network function, VNF, linked to other virtual network functions, VNFs, in a VNF service chain by another substitution VNF resource allocation ratios of available hardware resources of the universal customer premise equipment, uCPE, are automatically increased from a default value by oversubscription to provide the hardware resources required by the substitution VNF.

Abstract: A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium having recorded thereon a computer program, which when executed by a computer, configures the computer to perform a message providing method may be provided. The method may include receiving message data including a message and metadata from a server, determining whether at least one keyword is included in the message, and updating chat room data of a reception chat room to include reception information of the message including the keyword based on results of the determining and the metadata, and displaying a chat room list based on the chat room data, the chat room list including (1) reception chat rooms having the message with the at least one keyword together with (2) inclusion information corresponding thereto, which indicates inclusion of the at least one keyword in the message.

Abstract: A dynamic feedback technique improves data replication performance by balancing rates of data retrieval and data transmission of a fragmented virtual disk replicated between nodes of clusters on a local site and a remote site of a disaster recovery environment. Each node is embodied as a physical computer with hardware resources, such as processor, memory, network and storage resources, which are virtualized to provide support for one or more user virtual machines executing on the node. The storage resources include storage devices of an extent store, whereas the network includes a wide area network connecting the local and remote sites. The dynamic feedback technique employs a virtual memory buffer configured to balance the data storage retrieval and network transmission rates at a source of replication based on bandwidth demands of the extent store and network throughput as manifested by an available free space (i.e., emptiness) of the virtual buffer.

Abstract: A method and apparatus with a data storage device receives a data write request that is sent by a first tenant, and determines, from a plurality of resource zones (RZs) and based on the data write request and storage permission of the first tenant for each of the plurality of RZs. The data storage device further determines distribution of N duplicates in the at least one RZ based on the data write request and a first data distribution policy, and stores the N duplicates into at least one node corresponding to the at least one RZ based on distribution of the N duplicates in the at least one RZ and a second data distribution policy.

Abstract: A host computing system may include a processor and a memory coupled to the processor. The memory may include an auto-discovery module to broadcast a message to a set of management nodes in a data center. The message may include a configuration policy. Further, the auto-discovery module may receive an acknowledgment message from a management node. The acknowledgment message may indicate that the management node supports the configuration policy. Furthermore, the auto-discovery module may establish a trust relationship with the management node in response to receiving the acknowledgment message. Further, the auto-discovery module may enable the host computing system to add to a cluster managed by the management node upon establishing the trust relationship.

Abstract: To enable clients to self-manage service issues for conferences on a bridge operated by a conference provider, there is provided a web based interface. Companies are provisioned in a client database as receiving client managed conference services instead of provider managed conference services. Users of the company or client of the Provider may log in to a web interface through a company or client specific URL and be presented with an interface that enables the user to view and perform management functions for conferences on a bridge that relate to that user only.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media are provided to populate databases with routing data for containers to eliminate the need for continuously accessing a global discovery service. An example method includes initiating, from a source container operating on a first machine in a first rack, a communication with a destination container operating on a second machine on a second rack, wherein a local database on the first machine does not know an address of the destination container. The method includes accessing a global discovery service to provide the address of the destination container, populating the local database on the first machine with the address of the destination container and routing a packet from the source container to the destination container according to the address of the destination container.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for generating dialog system workspaces are provided herein. A computer-implemented method includes obtaining (i) a set of policy documents and (ii) a set of initial questions; identifying at least one of the policy documents in the set of policy documents that is relevant to answering a given one of the initial questions in the set of initial questions; generating, based at least in part on an analysis of said identified policy document, (i) at least one follow-up question to said given initial question and (ii) two or more candidate answers to said at least one follow-up question; generating a dialog tree comprising at least (i) a parent node corresponding to the at least one follow-up question and (ii) child nodes corresponding to the two or more candidate answers; translating the dialog tree into a dialog workspace; and deploying the dialog workspace in an intelligent dialog system.

Abstract: Systems and methods include, on a respective node of a plurality of nodes communicatively coupled to one another forming a cloud-based system, receiving a request to obtain data from the third-party cloud application. The systems and methods also include implementing a lightweight agent, on the respective node, that is configured to access data, of a third-party cloud application of the cloud-based services, via an application-only security token layer on the cloud-based system. The systems and methods further include utilizing the lightweight agent to access the third-party cloud application via the application-only security token and obtain data from the third-party cloud application. The systems and methods yet further include providing a response to the request based on the data obtained from the third-party cloud application.

Abstract: A communication system adapted to allow participants, during a collaboration event or session, to ask questions while also serving up or providing relevant context to the presenter. This can be done by the participant clicking anywhere on the screen of their display on their client device during an online presentation and then presenting their question (e.g., typing or otherwise entering their input) about that particular portion of the presentation. When a user clicks on their screen during the presentation, a new dialog will open with a screenshot of the point of the presentation that occurred as well as a dialog box to type in a question. When the participant submits their question, a question report can be created and sent to the server. This report may include a user identifier (ID), a timestamp of when the screenshot was taken, the coordinates of the click/selection location, and the question itself.

The first content composite may be transmitted, where, consequent to delivery of the first content composite to a first endpoint media device or a second endpoint media device, the first endpoint media device or the second endpoint media device may perform one operation relating to a second content item of the first content composite, where the adaptable content item may be modified based on the second content item.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to implementation of a transaction processing system having improved equity among the communications paths between the ingress/egress points of the trading system network, where electronic data transaction messages originated from, or are destined, for different sources/destinations, effectively enter or exit the trading system, to/from the transaction processing component thereof, i.e., the match engine, market data feed generator, where those messages are ultimately processed and outbound messages reflective thereof are generated. The disclosed embodiments attempt to compensate for variances in latencies as between different network communications routes between the electronic ingress/egress points of the electronic trading system and the internal processing components which implement the functions of the trading system.

Abstract: A system and method for remote execution of applications for a connected vehicle infotainment system (CVIS). The method comprises establishing a network connection between the CVIS and a cloud server hosted in a cloud computing platform, sending a remote execution request for at least one application, wherein the at least one application is executed by the cloud server, receiving execution results from the at least one application cloud server, and rendering the execution results on the CVIS while allowing interoperability with applications executed over at least one other computing environment included in the vehicle.
