Abstract: A demand response for an energy-consuming facility is disclosed. A demand response is generated by estimating a likelihood of a coincident peak time period, modeling workloads to be scheduled in the energy-consuming facility, determining a workload schedule based on the likelihood of the coincident peak time period and a plurality of utility charging rates, and scheduling the workloads for execution in the energy-consuming facility according to the determined workload schedule.

Abstract: The system receives a list of one or more name prefixes associated with an original name, wherein the original name corresponds to an original root manifest that indicates a set of original content objects and includes a set of content object hash (COH) values for the indicated set of original content objects, and wherein the original root manifest is registered with a tracking service. Based on a name prefix from the list, the system receives the original root manifest and selects a peer node that stores one or more of the original content objects. The system determines which original content objects are stored at the selected peer node and generates an interest for an original content object, wherein the name for the interest includes the name prefix, and wherein the third interest includes a COH value for an original content object stored at the selected peer node.

Particularly, user's personal connection information and relationships between users are separately expressed as a structure of a creature made in a graphic, and a non-disclosure information portion for private use and a disclosure information portion for public use are clearly divided.

Abstract: A content delivery (CD) service in a CDN maintains property invalidation information on said CD service including, for each property, a list of one or more group invalidation commands. New group invalidation commands are added by selectively merging one or more invalidation commands to form a merged invalidation command and inserting the merged invalidation command into said list, wherein the merging is based on a length of common prefix of elements in said list. A per property common prefix list is maintained for invalidation commands in each property list.

Abstract: A system and method for improved client and server communications, more particularly, an improved protocol that may be used for communication between a client and a server, such as in an email environment. Many features are provided for improved communications. An email server may provide the best message body available for an email message, may transfer an entire data object if requested property or properties are not well defined within the data object, may provide progress data for use in tracking download progress, and may send error information for a data object having an error. Email changes may be optimized at an email server component, even if the email changes occurred at another email server component. An email server may maintain a table of changes that occur to folders at an associated data store, and may notify a subscribed email client component of changes that occur in the table.

Abstract: Facilitating content accessibility via different communication formats is disclosed. In some embodiments, in response to receiving a content request from an IPv6 enabled client, the requested content is provided to the IPv6 enabled client in IPv6 format, wherein the requested content is originally obtained in IPv4 format from an IPv4 enabled server and translated into IPv6 format.

Abstract: Methods and systems for facilitating content accessibility via different communication formats are provided. According to one embodiment, a method is provided for directing content requests to an appropriate content delivery network. A content request is received from a client. The content request relates to web page content published by a content publisher in an Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) format or an Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) format that is obtained by the content delivery network from the content publisher and is translated to the other format by the content delivery network prior to receiving any content requests for the web page content. A communication format through which the client is capable of communicating is determined. The content request is directed to a content delivery network that supports the communication format through which the client is capable of communicating.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided that utilize the functionality of an end user device in binding a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) media client on an end user device with a VDI host client on a VDI server. In particular, the native operating system (OS) on the end user device may take a screen-shot of a quick response (QR) code displayed to a graphical user interface of the end user device. The end user device may provide information associated with the screen-shot of the QR code to a collaboration server where the collaboration server binds the VDI media client together with the VDI host client upon verifying the information associated with the screen-shot of the QR code.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for a deployment management system. A second version of a deployable application is executed concurrently with a first version. Network traffic sent to the first version of the application is redirected to the second version. In the event of an error, network traffic is directed back to the first version of the application. After a period of concurrent execution, the first version of the application is terminated.

Abstract: Generic Distributed Processing Unit (DPU) for Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) provides a Machine to Machine (M2M) interface that is fast, flexible, redundant and scalable. It allows the handling of unlikely edge cases that Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) cannot. It also allows the processing of excessive amounts of ancillary data that are not processed easily with an HMI arrangement. In the digital ecosystem, any like DPU can back up any other, making the system exceedingly robust.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for allocating compute nodes among cloud groups. Policies are created for cloud groups for specifying conditions when a compute node will need to be borrowed by a cloud group as well as when the borrowed compute node is to be returned. Furthermore, priorities are assigned to the conditions in the policies for borrowing a compute node as well as to the cloud groups concerning borrowing compute nodes. A compute node is allocated temporarily from a first cloud group to a second cloud group based on the priority assigned to the second cloud group and the priority assigned to the monitored condition invoking the borrowing of the compute node as well as based on the monitored condition satisfying a condition in the policy for the second cloud group as to when the compute node will need to be borrowed by the second cloud group.

A system includes a plurality of service managers coordinating respective distributed network-accessible services, and a metadata manager. The metadata manager receives an account state change simulation request, indicating (a) an initial account state of a client account and (b) a collection of operations to be simulated. The metadata manager generates a response to the account change state simulation request, comprising at least one of (a) a representation of an expected end state of the client account reachable as a result of performing the collection of operations (b) an indication of an expected failure of a particular operation of the collection of operations or (c) an estimate of an expected billing amount associated with an implementation of the collection of operations.

Abstract: A method and system transfers the hosting of financial services to a virtual asset computing environment from a hardware asset computing environment, according to one embodiment. The method and system transfers a secondary copy of application data to a storage device, and delivers the storage device to a second computing system from the first computing system using a parcel courier, according to one embodiment. The method and system receives, with the second computing system, the secondary copy of the application data from the storage device, and configures virtual assets to execute a second instance of the financial services application to enable the second computing system to provide the financial services to the multiple users, according to one embodiment. The method and system configures the second computing system as a primary service provider, according to one embodiment.

Abstract: A conferencing system receives a live stream of conference data generated during a video conference. Data associated with the live stream of conference data may be stored in a storage medium in response to a conferee request. Storage of the data associated with the live stream of conference data may automatically begin at the beginning of the meeting. The system may retrieve the data associated with the live stream of conference data from the storage medium in response to a retrieval request. Retrieval of the data may occur subsequent to that portion of the video conference associated with the live stream. A local copy of the data associated with the live stream of conference data may be provided to a requesting user's computer.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system keeps records of communications between participants as a conversation. All communications between participants in a transaction are stored as part of the conversation including documents, photographs, forms etc. needed to complete the transaction. A computer system interacts with a wallet service of one or more participants to keep a record of, or to affect the transfer of, consideration between participants in the transaction. Conversations can occur for any topic or conversations for a particular topic can be selected and a template provided for documents and/or conversation participants most often needed to complete an associated transaction.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method, computer program product, and computing system is provided for managing communication traffic relaying in a multiparty communication session. In an implementation, a method may include receiving a request from a first computing device to join a multiparty communication session. The method may also include associating the first computing device with a second computing device for the multiparty communication session, the second computing device participating in the multiparty communication session via a multipoint control unit. The method may further include relaying communication traffic for the multiparty communication session from the multipoint control unit to the first computing device by the second computing device.

Abstract: Methods and systems for facilitating content accessibility via different communication formats are provided. According to one embodiment, a method is provided for directing content requests to an appropriate server. Information indicative of one or more communication formats via which a client device is capable of communication is caused to be stored on a client device by (i) sending to the client device a web page having embedded therein one or more of IPv4 and IPv6 test content; and (ii) based on a response to the test content, determining communication capabilities of the client device. A result of the determination is stored within a browser cookie, which is sent to the client device. A content request is received from the client device that includes the browser cookie. The request is redirected to a server appropriate for the communication capabilities of the client based at least in part on the cookie.

Abstract: Systems and methods for creating and sharing user-generated content that can be tagged to a website or page are provided herein. The systems and methods allow a user to create content and to share it with others via a variety of methods. The content can be shared in context with an underlying webpage or site. Computer readable medium containing executable code for creating and sharing user-generated information are also disclosed.

Abstract: A system for data storage includes multiple servers, which are configured to communicate over a network with multiple multi-queue storage devices and with at least one storage controller, to store on the storage devices compressed data belonging to a user volume, to specify storage locations, in which the compressed data is stored on the storage devices, in a shared data structure that is shared and modified by the servers using remote direct memory access, and to coordinate access to the compressed data by the servers by querying the shared data structure, without executing code on a processor of the storage controller.
