  • Patent number: 5903820
Abstract: The object of the invention is a radio communication transceiver, in which the low noise pre-amplifier and mixer of the receiver and the power amplifier, directional coupler and the mixer of the transmitter are integrated in connection with the filter section. The active components are integrated with the filter so that the entity forms one component on the circuit board of the telephone.

  • Patent number: 5805986
Abstract: A high-frequency signal step attenuator including an amplifying circuit having a transistor element with its base or gate connected to an input terminal to which a high-frequency input signal is supplied, and supplying an amplified output signal of the input signal to an output terminal, a current detector for detecting a current flowing through a current path of collector-emitter or a current path of drain-source of the transistor element to generate an output voltage corresponding to a detected current, a voltage setter for selectively generating output voltages of different levels, and a comparator for comparing the output voltage of the current detector with the output voltage of the voltage setter, and supplying an output signal of a compared result as a feedback signal to the base or gate of the transistor element.

  • Patent number: 5781852
Abstract: This invention relates to an alert receiver interface, apparatus and method, for receiving and automatically detecting the issuance of emergency, weather or other alert messages broadcast on a radio channel, or on another communication system, and recording that alert message into the receiver with an audible day and time stamp for later playback. Interface apparatus and methods between the alert receiver interface and other communication systems, including paging systems, whereby an alert message, or an alarm tone, is automatically relayed and repeated on an other communication system are disclosed. A method and apparatus for selectively activating an other communication system for only those alert messages of specific concern to users of an other communication system is also taught herein.

  • Patent number: 5745848
Abstract: An apparatus for eliminating interference caused by spurious signals includes a reference oscillator (127) and a controller (114). Circuitry (500) in a communication device (104) incorporating the apparatus operates at a rate set by a system clock signal (CLOCK). The communication device (104) communicates on any one of a plurality of different channels. The reference oscillator (127) outputs the system clock signal (CLOCK) at a first frequency which generates spurious signals on at least one of the plurality of different channels. The controller (114) shifts the system clock signal (CLOCK) by a first predetermined amount to a second frequency when the communication device (104) is to be tuned to the at least one of the plurality of different channels so as to remove the spurious signals from the at least one of the plurality of different channels.
