  • Patent number: 9114493
Abstract: A method and system for determining the position of a hand-held power tool on a wall including measuring distances within a plane perpendicular to a tooling axis in at least two directions, comprising at least the direction to one side wall and the direction to the floor or the ceiling. At least one non-contact measurement sensor module measures distances in a multitude of angles in an angular range of at least 1° around the at least two directions. From the distance sequence measured by the at least one measurement sensor module a calculation and storing unit automatically calculates a function, wherein extrema represent shortest distances to walls, floor and/or ceiling adjacent to the wall. From said function the calculation and storing unit deduces the shortest distances, and output means provide information about the shortest distances so as to allow positioning relative to the shortest distances.

  • Patent number: 9091522
Abstract: A shape measuring machine includes a slider that supports a scanning probe. A scale unit detects a displacement of the slider. A tip sphere displacement detection unit detects a displacement of the tip sphere. A calculation unit includes a correction filter including a first and second filters and an adder, and calculates a measurement value from the displacements of the slider and the tip sphere. The first filter corrects the displacement of the slider based on a frequency transfer characteristic from the scale unit to the tip of the slider. The second filter outputs a value that is obtained by correcting a value corrected by the first filter based on a frequency transfer characteristic from the tip of the slider to the tip sphere as the correction value. The adder outputs a measurement value obtained by adding the correction value and the displacement of the tip sphere.

  • Patent number: 9080853
Abstract: An eyeglass frame shape measuring apparatus includes: a frame holding unit holding an eyeglass frame; a tracing stylus inserted into a bevel groove of the rim; a moving unit moving the tracing stylus; and a controller controls the moving unit and obtains measurement data of a shape of the rim. The controller controls the moving unit based on a first measurement operation to perform a first measurement. The controller decides whether the first measurement is performed in a first state in which the tracing stylus is inserted into the bevel groove at the time of starting the first measurement or a second state in which the tracing stylus is not inserted into the bevel groove at the time of starting the first measurement. If the controller decides that it is the second state, the controller performs a second measurement based on a second measurement operation.

  • Patent number: 9080846
Abstract: There are provided a first (Y-axial direction) moving unit, a movement auxiliary unit for moving in substantially parallel with the first moving unit, and a second (X-axial direction) moving unit for moving substantially perpendicular to the first moving unit. Force generated for moving the second moving unit is received by the movement auxiliary unit to perform driving of the XY directions. Thus, when a measuring probe provided on the second moving unit is scanned in the XY directions, vibrations of the first moving unit can be suppressed without the first moving unit receiving a counteraction of force that acts in a direction substantially perpendicular to the moving direction of the first moving unit.
