  • Patent number: 10190878
Abstract: The invention is related to gages to measure incline angles of moving and immobile objects and can be used in incline angle gages in such transportation vehicles as airplanes and ships (if a phosphorus scale can be applied to a closed loop clear tube) as a standby device to display pitch and roll angles (FIG. 5, FIG. 6, FIG. 7, FIG. 8). The purpose of this invention is an effective measurement of incline angles in stationary and dynamic objects in a wide range (0°-180°, 0°-360°). Faster measurement is required to improve stated parameters of the general purpose liquid angle indicator. It is achieved because liquid, an air bubble or indicating ball within the semicircular and round clear tube, subjected to gravitational forces, can display measured angles relative to the scale on the graduated clear tube without being in a horizontal position.

  • Patent number: 10166103
Abstract: To provide a valve cusp sizer which is small and easy to handle. The present invention relates to a valve cusp sizer 100 for determining the size of a valve cusp depending on the size of a cardiac valve. The valve cusp sizer 100 includes a front surface 10 formed in an arcuate surface form to be abutted against an organism, a back surface 20 positioned on an opposite surface side of the front surface 10, and a pinching portion 30 protruding from the back surface 20. By removing a grip member and a grip member attachment portion from a conventional valve cusp sizer in this manner, and by forming the pinching portion 30 to be held by a clamp, tweezers, or the like, it is possible to dramatically miniaturize the valve cusp sizer while maintaining necessary functions of the valve cusp sizer.

  • Patent number: 10145398
Abstract: A quick release mechanism for non-releasable clips is disclosed. The quick release mechanism allows for improved testing of the dimensional quality of manufactured parts having non-releasable mounting features, including clips, plugs, and pins. The mounting features can be reliably mounted for testing, and then removed from a mounting fixture without causing any injury or damage to the non-releasable mounting feature present in the device. The ease of removal is provided by the use of two horizontal segments (108, 110) positioned in a housing (104) to form a receiving aperture (112) for the mounting feature of the tested device. Moreover, the utilization of cables and cable stops to position and hold the horizontal segments of the quick release mount within their housing allows for a tested device to be quickly removed and the horizontal segments to be easily repositioned inside the circular housing where they can accept another manufactured device for dimensional evaluation.

  • Patent number: 10145667
Abstract: A shaft roundness gauge measures the roundness (or lack thereof) of a surface such as a bearing surface of a shaft or axle of a truck, tractor or trailer. The gauge comprehends a plurality of specifically sized rings or collars having inner diameters which correspond to common outside diameters of shafts, axles and other circular or cylindrical components. The ring includes a radial opening which receives a collet fitting which receives a probe housing of a dial indicator. A collet clamp may be tightened to secure the dial indicator to the ring. The ring and dial indicator are positioned on a shaft, at that position where the shaft or component is believed to be least worn. The dial indicator is zeroed and then the assembly is rotated around the shaft or component to determine, by the reading of the dial indicator, the location of and the extent of wear of the shaft or component.
