Abstract: A process for producing 1,1-dichloro-1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroethane, which comprises isomerizing 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane to form 1,1,1-trichloro-2,2,2-trifluoroethane, followed by fluorination with hydrofluoric acid.
Abstract: A process for recovering at least one Antibiotics S541 compound or chemical derivative thereof from solution in an organic solvent, which comprises the steps of contacting the said solution with alumina and adsorbing the compound(s) thereon, eluting the compound(s) and collecting the eluate containing the compounds(s).This method is suitable for the large scale separation of individual S541 compounds or mixtures thereof.

Abstract: 3,7-disubstituted indole derivatives of formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, n, X, Y and Z are as defined in the description are useful for the treatment of psychiatric disorders.
Abstract: The invention provides a sizing composition based on water-soluble polymers, intended for sizing warps of textile yarns and a process for obtaining such compositions and for the sizing of textile yarns. More particularly, provided are compositions comprising, 40 to 90% by weight of a polyester-urethane and 10 to 60% by weight of an acrylic and/or vinyl polymer especially suitable for sizing polyester yarns such as polyethylene terephthalate.

Abstract: Modified vinyl acetate aqueous adhesive compositions containing acidic metal salt curing agents, which are suitable for exterior applications where water resistance is required, contain selected solvents as low temperature fusion aids. The adhesives are characterized by their film forming properties at temperatures as low as -1.degree. C., increased closed assembly times of at least up to 40 minutes, improved storage stability, and their satisfactory cold and hot water resistance. They consist essentially of a mixture of (a) an aqueous emulsion of a stabilized vinyl acetate/N-methylol acrylamide polymer; (b) a metal salt curing agent; (c) optionally a cross-linking inhibitor; and (d) 1-7%, based on the polymer solids, of ethylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate, ethylene glycol diacetate, or tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol as the fusion aid.
