  • Patent number: 12036570
Abstract: The objective of this invention is to provide a filter module for coating equipment that can improve the efficiency in removing coating-material mist and preventing the outflow of such coating-material mist to the outside. The filter module of this invention is made of a flammable material and includes an outer box, an eliminator and a baffle plate. Of the outer box, the air A2 containing the coating-material mist flows into the outer box from the outer-box inlet and is discharged from the outer-box outlet. The eliminator is formed by arranging zigzag-shaped eliminator elements in parallel to separate the coating-material mist from the air A2. The baffle plate is formed by arranging baffle-plate elements having an inclined surface for guiding the air A2 in parallel into the inflow-side space S2 of the eliminator, and guides the air A2 that has been introduced from the outer-box inlet to the inflow-side space S2.

  • Patent number: 11998871
Abstract: Air flows across an air-liquid interface such that liquid desiccant flowing through the interface absorbs water from the air and is thereby diluted to form an output stream. The output stream is circulated through an electrodialytic stack having a central ionic exchange membrane and first and second outer ionic exchange membranes. A redox shuttle loop circulates around the first and second outer ionic exchange membranes. A voltage is applied across the electrodialytic stack, which regenerates the liquid desiccant.

  • Patent number: 11958006
Abstract: Virus and microbe-killing, self-sterilizing resistive heated air filters and methods of making and using same methods. The air filter is includes laser-induced graphene (LIG), a porous conductive graphene foam formed through photothermal conversion of a polyimide film (or another source or source of polymer or other LIG precursor material) by a laser source. The LIG in the air filter can capture particulates and bacteria. The bacteria cannot proliferate even when submerged in culture medium. Through a periodic Joule-heating mechanism, the filter easily reaches greater than 300° C. This destroys any microorganisms including bacteria, along with molecules that can cause adverse biological reactions and diseases such as viruses, pyrogens, allergens, exotoxins, endotoxins, teichoic acids, mycotoxins, nucleic acids, and prions.
