Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide an emulsifiable concentrate which comprises pyriproxyfen as an active ingredient, wherein the emulsifiable concentrate is excellent in emulsion stability under conditions of low-rate dilution not only in soft water but also in hard water. The present application provides for an emulsifiable concentrate excellent in emulsion stability which comprises pyriproxyfen, alkylarylsulfonic acid salt, polyoxyethylene styrylphenyl ether, polyoxyethylene castor oil, fatty acid C1-C6 alkyl ester, and aromatic hydrocarbon in specified amounts.
Abstract: Combinations of 5-HT2A inverse agonists or antagonists such as pimavanserin with antipsychotics such as risperidone are shown to induce a rapid onset of antipsychotic action and increase the number of responders when compared to therapy with the antipsychotic alone. These effects can be achieved at a low dose of the antipsychotic, thereby reducing the incidence of side effects. The combinations are also effective at decreases the incidence of weight gain and increased glucose or prolactin levels caused by the antipsychotic.

Abstract: A process for shaving that includes the steps of moisturizing the hair, using a sealing agent for sealing the moisture inside the hair keeping the moisture in the hair while smoothing the skin to be shaved applying mineral oil to the hair and skin to create a buffer for the lubricating agent that is applied next. Then, using sufficient water to form a lather. Next, the moisture from the blade after the blade is washed with water by utilizing alcohol. In the final step of the process oil is applied to the blades to prevent contact with the atmospheric moisture and thus extending its useful life.

Abstract: A tissue adhesive formed by reacting an aminodextran containing primary amine groups with an oxidized dextran containing aldehyde groups is described. The dextran-based polymer tissue adhesive is particularly useful in medical applications where low swell and slow degradation are needed, for example sealing the dura, ophthalmic procedures, tissue repair, antiadhesive applications, drug delivery, and as a plug to seal a fistula or the punctum.
Abstract: Calcium-containing compounds have been at least partly film-coated and/or granulated with a water-soluble substance and a water-soluble polymeric substance and use of such coated compounds in pharmaceutical compositions. The at least partly film-coated and/or granulated calcium-containing compounds have proved suitable for the preparation of tablets having a very high load of elemental calcium and a conveniently small size. A drug load of about 96% or more is obtained in tablets of the invention that have sufficient mechanical and organoleptic properties.
Abstract: A concentrated salicylic acid gel comprising salicylic acid and a stabilizer compound, wherein the salicylic acid comprises at least 30 wt % of the total weight of the gel.
Abstract: This invention relates to a sheet membrane for repairing a damaged tissue. The membrane includes an isotropic layer of cross-linked biopolymeric fibers in which the fibers are 10 to 1,000 cm in length. This invention also relates to a method of making an isotropic layer of cross-linked biopolymeric fibers. The method includes: (1) coacervating biopolymeric fibers (e.g., collagen-based fibers) having lengths of less than 1 cm dispersed in an aqueous solution to obtain coacervated biopolymeric fibers having lengths of 10 to 1,000 cm; (2) flattening the coacervated biopolymeric fibers into a layer; (3) drying the layer; and (4) cross-linking the biopolymeric.
Abstract: The present invention relates to the use and application of a water-soluble or water-dispersible agglomerating copolymer which can be used in cleaning operations.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing an aqueous polymer dispersion by free-radical emulsion polymerization of a monomer mixture which comprises N,N-diethylaminoethyl methacrylate, to the polymer dispersion obtainable by this process, and to the use thereof.
