Abstract: A portable single biceps exercising machine comprises an articulable framework running about a length of a user's arm. The articulable framework may be divided into an upper framework and a lower framework, with an articulable fulcrum connecting the upper framework to the lower framework. In use, the upper framework, at an under arm pad, may be retained in a shoulder/armpit region of the user's arm, while the lower framework may comprise a handle to be engaged by a hand of the user's arm. One or more tension members are coupled between the upper framework and the lower framework such that articulation of the handle about the articulable fulcrum towards the under arm pad is through a resistance. The resistance exercises a biceps muscle of the user's arm.

The device comprises a structure or frame, at least one resistance mechanism connected to the structure or frame and a support platform connected to the at least one resistance mechanism for supporting a patient's foot. Rotating, flexing, inverting and/or everting the patient's foot connected to the ankle of interest, which results in pressure applied to the support platform by the patient's foot, increases and/or decreases tension in the at least one resistance mechanism. A variety of stretches and/or strengthening and/or rehabilitating exercises may be performed with the device. The support platform is suspended within the frame on the at least one resistance mechanism and, as a result, the support platform may be rotated, flexed, inverted and/or everted in an infinite number of directions.
Abstract: A device for movement and resistance training of the lower extremities is disclosed which helps prevent muscle de-conditioning and deep vein thrombosis from lack of movement resulting in venous stasis and potential development of blood clot formation. The device includes footpads with spring resistance and sensors that register the number of times the pads are depressed and the amount of force applied by a user to the footpads. Data from use of the device may be stored and provided as feedback to the user so the user can monitor progress in using the device.

ARIZONA BOARD OF REGENTS ON BEHALF OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA
Abstract: The present invention is an inclined apparatus for undertaking exercises for hamstring eccentric and concentric loading and in particular, but not limited to, exercises such as a Nordic Hamstring Exercise, a Russian Hamstring Exercise, and Russian curls. The inclined apparatus can be utilized for sports training and preparation, injury recovery and rehabilitation, and injury prevention. A main body of the inclined apparatus is so inclined as to ensure that a user does not hyperextend their knee and cause additional injury. A height of the higher end of the inclined apparatus above ground level in conjunction with leg restraints enables avoidance of collateral injuries which may occur when undertaking an exercise regime in a traditional form of dorsiflexion, plantarflexion, and laterally in either direction.
Abstract: The adjustment mechanism according to the present invention is composed of a body, a hollow bar interior formed in the body, at least one screw hole formed on one side of the body, at least one tightening screw passing through the screw hole, a knob rigidly connected to the tightening screw to turn the screw, at least one tightening member on which the tip portion of the tightening screw rests in the interior, at least one guide rigidly connected to the tightening member, and at least one guide hole formed on the body supporting the guide in a free fit.

BASI SYSTEMS PILATES SANAYI TICARET A.S.
Abstract: An exercise device comprises a base member and a frame member rotatably mounted on the base member. A frame movement controller is located between the base member and the frame member for selectively adjusting the degree of difficulty for rotating the frame member relative to the base member. A handle is rotatably mounted on the frame member. A handle movement controller is located between the frame member and the handle for selectively adjusting the degree of difficulty for rotating the handle relative to the frame member.
Abstract: An exercise equipment with an improved connecting bar connecting an exercise foot retaining device to a resistance, wherein a first longitudinal pedal bar is connected to a first bent longitudinal pedal connector bar and a second longitudinal pedal bar connected to a second bent longitudinal pedal connector bar, the bent first and second longitudinal connector bars each having a bent angle greater than zero and less than ninety degrees to thereby prevent the occurrence of a dead angle.
Abstract: A connection arrangement between at least one end of a flexible strap and a proximal end of an elastic tube comprises a plug adapted for insertion into the proximal end of the elastic tube, the plug having a tapered distal end and a proximal end that has an enlarged head. A distal end of a flexible sleeve receives the proximal end of the plug and the proximal end of the elastic tube therein. A proximal end of the flexible sleeve receives the at least one end of the flexible strap and is fixed thereto with a first fastener. A second fastener fixes the distal end of the flexible sleeve to the proximal end of the elastic tube and the plug. A safety sleeve is disposed over the elastic tube, the plug, and at least a portion of the flexible sleeve, and fixed thereto with a third fastener.
Abstract: An exercise device for attachment to an exercise machine or as an independent stand alone exercise device that includes an enclosure having an outer wall that defines an internal space therein, at least one cable aperture and an attachment mechanism for attaching to the exercise machine. A winding assembly is rotationally captured within the internal space and includes a winding spool configured for receiving at least one cable wound there around under resistance provided by a motor. The motor is used in conjunction with a controller circuit, a power source, and a user interface. To perform exercises with the exercise device, a person sets a desired cable unwind resistance with the user interface and then repeatedly pulls and retracts the at least one cable.
Abstract: The invention concerns a device and methods for unilateral or bilateral physical therapy of lower limbs of a person. The device comprises a curved rail mounted on a base and a pair of support members on which the legs are disposed. The curved rail is configured to allow lateral movements of the lower limbs with the support members, the lateral movements being driven by a force of the lower limbs. The initial reinforcement of the lower limbs of the person is improved by the use of this device, which reduces friction or resistance caused by the device during prescribed movements. The invention provides to patients with severe lower limb disability a physical therapy device that is easy to use with minimum supervision by a physical therapist.

Abstract: An exercise device featuring a pair of knee joints, each pivotally and respectively coupled to a pair of calf linkages, each of the pair of calf linkages having a foot pedal at an opposite lower end that supports low impact user-defined natural exercise gait patterns. The knee joints are supported and directed to travel by linkage and/or carriage systems that operate substantially below a user hip area and direct the knee joints in a variety of travel paths, ranging from a constant arc, a linear pathway, to a variety of irregular arc shaped paths to pathways that may change during use. A secondary system coupled to the linkage and/or carriage systems provides lift and dampening forces to influence a responsiveness of the foot pedals via bending and straightening of the calf linkage about the respective knee joint, yet does not restrict back and forth travel of the respective knee joint.
