Abstract: Methods and systems for securely uploading files onto a vehicle such as an aircraft are provided. In one embodiment, a system for transmitting files to a remote vehicle comprises: a communication system onboard the remote vehicle; at least one processor onboard the remote vehicle coupled to the communication system; and at least one storage device comprising a database, the at least one storage device further comprising computer executable instructions which when executed by the at least one processor implement a data checking functionality process comprising: generating a security file at the remote vehicle from an uplinked file received by a communication system; verifying integrity of the uplinked file using the security file; when integrity of the uplinked file is confirmed, accepting the uplinked file; and when integrity of the uplinked file is not confirmed, rejecting the uplinked file.
Abstract: In described embodiments, processing of a data stream, such as a packet stream or flow, associated with data streaming is improved by context switching that employs context history. For each data stream that is transformed through processing, a context is maintained that comprises state information and includes a history and state information that enables the transformation for the data stream. Processing for the data transformation examines currently arriving data and then processes the data based on the context data and previously known context information for the data stream from the history stored in memory.
Abstract: An application retrieves a published calendar from an online calendar application. The application formats the published calendar according to user status states such as “free” or “busy.” The application can also alternatively assign user status information from the published calendar to users status state levels such as “free,” “tentative,” “out of office,” “busy,” and “remotely available.” The application matches calendar owner information to a contact from a contact list of the application in order to link the formatted calendar to the contact. The application presents the linked calendar for scheduling.
Abstract: A verifiable date stamp for use in portable electronic devices automatically and transparently determines within the portable device or devices the correct date and time that a document or image is created. By keeping periodic records of tests for accuracy of the date and time of the device(s), it will be possible to provide admissible evidence of the date stamps generated by the portable devices. The date stamp provided by the invention includes not only date and time but, in addition, GPS location (latitude, longitude and altitude) and time zone. In some embodiments which involve the use of video, the date stamp includes beginning and ending time and, optionally, average velocity, if any, for the time duration of the video clip.
Abstract: A method for management of sampled traffic data is described herein. For each network device of a plurality of network devices, one or more data sources of the network device is determined. Each of the one or more data sources is associated with a local identifier. A sampler proxy receives a sampling configuration from a data collector, The sampling configuration includes a selection of a data source of a network device of the plurality of network devices. The selected data source is identified by a global identifier. The sampling configuration is translated to a local sampling configuration and is provided to the selected data source.
