Abstract: A device for dispensing active ingredient-containing or active ingredient-carrying strips, including a housing in which a coil chamber for receiving an active ingredient-containing or active ingredient-carrying band is arranged, in which a gear transmission with a driven roller for conveying the band is mounted, and in which a separating device for separating the strips from the band is arranged. A method for dispensing active ingredient-containing or active ingredient carrying strips using such a device is also disclosed. An active ingredient-containing or active ingredient-carrying band is arranged between the driven roller and the pressure roller. A shift clutch transmission having a manually actuatable trigger element is arranged upstream of the gear transmission. The driven roller can be driven in incremental strips by the shift clutch transmission. A device and method is disclosed for dispensing active ingredient-containing or active ingredient-carrying strips with a largely equal dosage are developed.

Abstract: A conveyor that includes a conveyor frame, a first guide rail assembly, a divert unit having a switch assembly, and an alignment key is described. In this regard, the first guide rail assembly is positioned on a first portion of the conveyor frame such that rails of the first guide rail assembly extends along a length of the conveyor. In some examples, the first guide rail includes a first guide rail and a second guide rail positioned parallel to the first guide rail. Further, the first guide rail defines a groove along a length of the first guide rail assembly. Furthermore, according to some examples, the switch assembly defines a key slot. The key slot is adapted to enable the alignment key to pass through the key slot and further into the groove of the first guide rail, thereby, aligning the switch assembly on the first guide rail.

Abstract: Item singulation systems and methods may include an input conveyor, a vision system, and an output conveyor that receives items from the input conveyor. The vision system may determine individual columns of items from among a plurality of items on the input conveyor. Operations of the input conveyor and output conveyor may be controlled substantially as a pull system to transfer individual columns of items to the output conveyor, such that singulated items can be transferred by the output conveyor to downstream processes.

Abstract: A sanitary wipe dispensing assembly for positioning sanitary wipes proximate to a toilet includes a box has a rear facet, a front facet, opposed vertical facets, and opposed horizontal facets. One of the front facet, the opposed vertical facets, and a first one of the opposed horizontal facets is open for insertion of a container of sanitary wipes. The box can be mounted to a substantially vertical surface proximate to a toilet so that the rear facet abuts the substantially vertical surface. An aperture is positioned in a second one of the opposed horizontal facets. A sanitary wipe protruding through the aperture can be grasped and pulled by a user to dispense it from the container for use in maintaining personal hygiene.

The vending machine comprises an access port, a chassis including a plurality of trays and a plurality of columns, a movable stage, and a product catch coupled to the movable stage. Abstract: Embodiments of dispensers for dispensing wet wipes are disclosed herein. An exemplary wipes dispenser includes a container, having an opening, a cap, and a first wipe engagement member. The first wipes engagement member includes an opening therethrough. The first wipes engagement member is configured to provide sufficient force on a wipe to prevent the wipe from falling back into the container. A second wipes engagement member is also included. The second wipes engagement member located away from the first wipes engagement member. The second wipes engagement member includes a pull through portion and a grip portion. An access point is located between the first wipes engagement member and the second wipes engagement member. The access point configured to allow a user to grip a lead edge of a wipe as the wipe is threaded through the first wipes engagement member.

The apparatus includes a cartridge assembly configured to store drugs in pellet form, and dispense the drugs upon actuation of one or more dispensing mechanisms located within the cartridge assembly. The apparatus further includes a control unit configured to actuate the one or more dispensing mechanisms located within the cartridge assembly, as well as a cover including a collection region configured to receive and store drugs dispensed from the one or more dispensing mechanisms. The cover is movable between a first position in which the collection region of the cover forms an enclosed cavity, and a second position in which the collection region is exposed such that a user can access drugs contained therein.

Abstract: An interactive frozen confectionery vending machine with a freezer enclosure, a delivery and toppings dispensing enclosure and a control system enclosure. A programmable control system allows a customer to select a frozen confectionery cup stored within the freezer enclosure and to select a hard and soft topping that are automatically dispensed into the cup and the cup is delivered to the waiting customer through a customer access door that closes after the transaction is completed. A centrally located gear motor rotates an arm that terminates in a cup. The cup receives a topping from a canister and then rotates to drop the topping into the frozen confectionery cup. A soft topping is pumped via flexible liquid topping delivery tubes into a dispensing arm located above the frozen confectionery cup. A standard payment system and touch screen allow the customer to pay for and select frozen confectionery and toppings.

An exemplary wipes dispenser having a self-centering nozzle includes a container, a plurality of wipes contained within the container, a fluid for wetting the plurality of wipes, a receiving member connected to the container, and an outlet nozzle housing for holding an elastomeric outlet nozzle. The nozzle housing is connected to the receiving member so that the nozzle housing is movable between two or more positions. A biasing member is connected to one of the receiving member, the nozzle housing and the elastomeric outlet nozzle. The elastomeric outlet nozzle moves from a centered upright position, the biasing member deflects and biases the outlet nozzle toward a centered position.

Abstract: Methods and systems for treating mined sand to remove an impurity in accordance with the disclosure. An example method mined sand provides mined sand containing the impurity, contacting the mined sand with an aqueous treatment fluid comprising an ethoxylated alcohol and a sulfonic acid derivative, and drying the mined sand; wherein at least a portion of the impurity is removed from the dried mined sand after contact of the mined sand with the aqueous treatment fluid.
