  • Patent number: 10107279
Abstract: The subject invention provides a fluid flow apparatus for transporting a fluid to inflate and deflate a device including a pumping device and a housing defining a chamber, an inlet port, a fill port, and an exhaust port. A seal member is movable between a seated position closing the exhaust port and an unseated position. A motor has a shaft rotating in each of a first and second rotational direction. A clutch is disengaged from the shaft as the shaft rotates in the first rotational direction and is engaged with and rotates with the shaft as the shaft rotates in the second rotational direction. A centrifugal member is mounted and rotates with the clutch when the shaft rotates in the second rotational direction and engages the seal member to move the seal member to the unseated position for permitting the fluid within the chamber to escape through the exhaust port.

  • Patent number: 9995296
Abstract: A pump is formed by a housing (10) having an inlet (11) and an outlet (12) for a fluid. The housing (10) contains a rotator (13) provided with at least one surface recess (17a, 17b, 17c, 17d) that forms with an interior surface of the rotor a chamber (18a, 18b, 18c, 18d) that, on rotation of the rotor (13), conveys fluid from the inlet (11) to the outlet (12). A flexible seal (23) is provided on or as part of the housing (10) and is located between the inlet (11) to the outlet (12) to engage the rotor (13) to prevent fluid passing from the outlet (12) to the inlet (11). A second inlet (16) is provided leading to the outlet (12) for the supply to the outlet (12) of a second fluid and the second inlet (16) also supplies the second fluid to the back of the seal (23) to urge the seal (23) against the rotor (13).

  • Patent number: 9903354
Abstract: An actuator of a compressor includes a partitioning body, which is rotatable integrally with a drive shaft and loosely fitted to the drive shaft in the swash plate chamber, a movable body, which is coupled to a swash plate and movable relative to the partitioning body along the axis of the drive shaft, and a control pressure chamber, the pressure of which moves the movable body. A control mechanism changes the pressure of the control pressure chamber to move the movable body. A link mechanism shifts a top dead center of a first head of a piston over a longer distance than a top dead center of a second head of the piston when the inclination angle of the swash plate changes. The actuator is located at the same side as the first cylinder bore, which accommodates the first head, as viewed from the swash plate.

  • Patent number: 9752563
Abstract: A swash plate type variable displacement compressor according to the present invention includes a housing having a suction chamber, a discharge chamber, a swash plate chamber, and a plurality of cylinder bores, a drive shaft, a swash plate, a link mechanism, a plurality of pistons reciprocally received in the respective cylinder bores, a conversion mechanism, an actuator that changes the inclination angle of the swash plate, and a control mechanism that controls the actuator. The link mechanism disposed between the drive shaft and the swash plate allows a change in inclination angle of the swash plate with respect to a plane extending perpendicularly to the axis of rotation of the drive shaft. The conversion mechanism converts the rotation of the swash plate into reciprocal movement of the pistons in the cylinder bores with a stroke length according to the inclination angle of the swash plate.
