  • Patent number: 9962986
Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, a sheet post processing apparatus comprises a processing tray, a gluing section and a control section. Sheets are placed one by one in the processing tray. The gluing section enables glue to be adhered to the glue binding margin part of the sheets already placed in the processing tray. The control section includes a glue supply mode for supplying glue parts in such a manner that a glue part, which is different from a waiting glue part waiting for a next gluing when the previous glue binding is ended, is supplied to a glue adhering section of a first sheet for gluing with a second sheet through the gluing section.

  • Patent number: 9958701
Abstract: Provided are a method for manufacturing an imaging-module and an imaging-module manufacturing device that can increase the flexibility of the component arrangement in an electronic device. A relative position of the lens unit and the imaging device unit, held on an axis perpendicular to a measurement chart, and the measurement chart on the axis is changed and images of the measurement chart are captured at the relative positions in the state where, when the lens unit is installed in an electronic device, a magnetic field having a magnitude equal to a magnitude of a magnetic field applied to the movable image-stabilizing unit is applied to the movable image-stabilizing unit. A compensation amount is calculated using signals acquired by capturing the images of the measurement chart, a tilt of the imaging device unit relative to the lens unit is adjusted, and the imaging device unit is fixed to the lens unit.

  • Patent number: 9952444
Abstract: Provided are a method for manufacturing an imaging module and an imaging-module manufacturing device that can enhance the flexibility of disposition of components in an electronic device. An amount of tilt by which and a direction of tilt in which a movable image-stabilizing unit is tilted in a state where a lens unit is installed in the electronic device including a magnetic-field generating unit are acquired in advance. On the basis of the amount of tilt by which and the direction of tilt in which the movable image-stabilizing unit is tilted, acquired in advance, the lens unit and the imaging device unit are fixed to each other in the state where an optical axis of the lens group is tilted by the amount of tilt in a direction opposite to the direction of tilt from a first reference position perpendicular to an imaging surface of the imaging device.

  • Patent number: 9941099
Abstract: Elastomeric components, such as a shoe outsole, are treated with a plasma application to clean and activate the elastomeric component. The application of plasma is controlled to achieve a sufficient surface composition change to enhance adhesion characteristics while not adversely physically deforming the elastomeric component. The plasma treatment is applied to increase carbonyl functional group concentrations within an altered region of the elastomeric component to within at least a range of 2%-15% of carbon atomic percentage composition. The cleaning and activation is controlled, in part, by ensuring a defined height offset range is maintained between the elastomeric component and the plasma source by a generated tool path. The elastomeric component may then be adhered, with an adhesive, to another component.

  • Patent number: 9919479
Abstract: In a method for printing a three-dimensional (3D) parts with an additive manufacturing system, a developed layer of an electrically charged powder material is produced on a transfer medium using an electrophotographic (EP) engine. The transfer medium and the developed layer are fed in a feed direction. A position of the developed layer on the transfer medium is detected using a first sensor having a first output that indicates the position. A position of a moveable build platform is adjusted relative to the transfer medium to reduce one or more overlay errors between the developed layer and an intermediate build surface of a three-dimensional structure retained on the moveable build platform based on the first output. The developed layer is transferred to the intermediate build surface using a pressing element.

  • Patent number: 9919468
Abstract: A tire rubber extruder automatic loading and management system is provided for continuous and automatic control of a rubber extrusion line. Batches of rubber slab material, whether for sidewall or tread, are connected in an automated manner to provide a continuous material stream for feeding a tread extruder supply conveyor within a tire manufacturing system. Joiner between adjacent slabs are implemented utilizing a stitched joint of material. Stitch pins are driven through both rubber slab layers to a specific depth into a clearance hole to create an optimized rubber mechanical adhesion zone. The result is a funnel shaped adhesion channel penetrating entirely through the layers of material perpendicular to the direction slab movement and tension. The resulting “rivet” like button structures are extremely strong, have no Impurities that could otherwise be added via adhesives, and can be formed in an automated manner within the available process cycle times.

  • Patent number: 9909961
Abstract: An apparatus and method for producing a coated analytic substrate using a compact and portable automated instrument located in the laboratory setting at the point of use which can consistently produce one or a plurality of coated analytic substrates “on demand” for using the analytic substrate immediately after coating, preferably without a step of rinsing the coated analytic substrate before use. The apparatus preferably uses applicator cartridges having a reservoir containing the coating compositions used to form the coatings. Preferably the cartridges are removable and interchangeable to facilitate the production of individual analytic substrates having different coatings or different coating patterns. These coated analytic substrates have superior specimen adhesion characteristics due to the improved quality of the coatings applied by the coating apparatus and due to the quickness with which the coated analytic substrates can be used in the lab after production.
