  • Patent number: 11438257
Abstract: Some embodiments provide stateful services in a chain of services identified for some data messages. The edge forwarding element receives a data message at a particular interface of the edge forwarding element that is traversing the edge forwarding element in a forward direction between two machines. The edge forwarding element identifies (1) a set of stateful services for the received data message and (2) a next hop associated with the identified set of stateful services in the forward direction and a next hop associated with the identified set of stateful services in the reverse direction. Based on the identified set of services and the next hops for the forward and reverse directions, the edge forwarding element generates and stores first and second connection tracking records for the forward and reverse data message flows, respectively used to forward data messages received subsequently for the flow.

  • Patent number: 11394656
Abstract: This application provides a method and an apparatus for avoiding packet fragmentation. In the embodiments of this application, when receiving a first service packet sent by a first device, a second device first determines whether a length of the first service packet is greater than that of a first MTU maintained by the second device, where the first MTU is determined based on both a second MTU of an IP link and a packet header encapsulated based on a GTPU tunnel; and when the first service packet is greater than the first MTU size, the first MTU size is sent to the first device. Based on this, in the embodiments of this application, the second device may be prevented from fragmenting a service packet, and the third device may be prevented from reassembling the service packet, thereby improving data transmission efficiency of a GTPU tunnel.

  • Patent number: 11363574
Abstract: An information transmission method, is provided, including, a terminal determines attribute information of uplink information based on a beam identifier, and sends the uplink information to a network side device based on the attribute information. After receiving the uplink information, the network side device determines the beam identifier based on the uplink information. In this process, the terminal implicitly indicates beam IDs of different selected beams by using attribute information of reported uplink information. Different beams correspond to different attribute information of the uplink information. In other words, each beam corresponds to specific attribute information of the uplink information. Implicitly indicating a beam ID to the network side device reduces LTE standardization complexity and reduces signaling overheads.

Abstract: An improved Wi-Fi access point classifies network data packets with classification identifiers provided by RTC/RTE devices without scanning the content of them. The access point receives inbound and outbound packet classification identifiers from the RTC/RTE applications running on the RTC/RTE devices. The identifiers are provided to a hardware data packet classifier. The hardware data packet classifier applies the identifiers against ingress packets and egress packets respectively.
